Lost and Found: A SwanQueen Story

Chapter 10

Regina was pacing up and down the lengths of her cell, when she heard the sound of heavy boots coming along the corridor. David turned the corner and practically exploded when he saw her there. He ran up to the cell and banged his fists against it, as he had done the first time.
"What are you doing here, witch?!" He shouted.
"David... don't get angry. I just vandalised my own car in my sleep. I didn't hurt anyone." Regina said delicately. David scoffed.
"Mary Margaret told me what you did. I mean why are you still alive? Nobody needs you. You're just getting in the way and unnecessarily taking up one of my prison cells. Regina have a think about what you're really worth." David laughed and turned away from her.
"I am worth something!" She yelled at him and he turned back, "Henry has forgiven me and your daughter loves me and I love her. That makes me worth something." David stormed up to the cell once again slamming the bars.
"Emma doesn't love you. Besides, even if she does, she won't when she finds out what you did. You know, the one thing you did in your sleep that you never told anyone?" Regina gulped and David smiled, turning his back on her.
"I guess I had better go and spill your dirty secret. Then I'll come back and dispose of you!" He laughed, grabbed the station keys and walked off. Regina collapsed onto the floor.
"No..." she whispered, "No..."

"EMMA! EMMA!" David was knocking repeatedly on her front door.
"Coming!" She shouted back, running to unlock the door. She opened it with a smile and looked taken aback, as David had gone. Disappeared and left a note on the doormat. She picked it up and read it slowly. This is what it said:

Dear Emma,
You are invited to dine with your parents tonight, by way of apology. We hope you can accept our offer and we would love it if you could bring Henry and Regina along too. See you tonight!

David and Mary Margaret x

Emma had to read three times to make sure she'd not imagined it. She laughed to herself and jumped up and down, before grabbing her read leather jacket and running to the station.
"Regina! Babe!" She called as she swept through the doors. Regina stood up, wiped away any visible tears and put a huge smile on her face. She was delighted at how happy her girlfriend looked as she ran in. Emma grabbed Regina and kissed her through the bars. She then pulled away and giggled lightly, giving Regina the letter. Regina's face fell as she read it. David was going to ruin her. He was going to ruin everything. But she saw how happy it made Emma and she swallowed down her negative thoughts, smiled and told Emma that it was brilliant. She walked over to the bed and took the keys from under it. Then she walked back to the cell door, reluctantly passed Emma the keys and stood back for the blonde to swing it open. Emma threw herself into Regina's arms and kissed her deeply, before breaking the kiss and just holding her. Hugging her so tightly.
"I love you." She whispered. Regina stood back and looked at Emma who nodded and said it again. Regina beamed and kissed her softly, before cuddling her again.
"I love you too, Emma." Regina whispered back. In that moment Regina relaxed. In that moment she was happier than she ever had been. Then that moment ended.
