I enter the kitchen and find my baby sister Asiya by the fridge drinking milk.

"Asiya I told you, you can drink that after you eat" Asiya is our last born she is just 5years old and she can be very troublesome and a lot to handle.

"But i don't want to eat it" She says pouting. Ibrahim walks in, my immediate 24year old younger brother who does nothing but travel 90% of the time..

"Dee, I'm going out with Maryam, we're going to go see Aunty Halima, we promised we would stay over".
I looked at him and turned back to Asiya who was on the floor crying "Okay tell Maryam that she will come home and meet me".

Maryam is my sister she was born after Ibrahim and she's 21 and very lazy.

He nods and walks out.
I grabbed the bottle of milk, Asiya and went straight to my room.

We both fell asleep but it was cut short by Amira's shouting. I quickly leave the room and shut the door so she doesn't wake up.

I find Amira sitting on a stool by the kitchen counter, she's 11years.
"You're back?"
She smiles "Yes"
"Where is Laila?"

"Here I am" she says walking in. And yes I have another sister Laila, she's 19.

"Yaya, I'm going to be in a spelling competition" Amira yelled as she hugged me jumping excitedly. L

Honestly we get along with Laila really well, since our parents died she has been helping me around the house and taking care of Amira and Asiya.

"Where are you going?" Laila asked her, I just sat there looking at them.
"I'm going to go to upstairs and watch".

"First of all go remove your uniform, take your bath and come downstairs with the uniform. After you eat you can do whatever you want" she said as she collected her school bag.
"Don't wake Asiya up" I add as she walked out.

Laila looked at me and shook her head "Ya Maryam followed Ya Ibrahim?"

Just then Maryam walks in with her suitcase and a frown evident on her face.

"Maryam, what are you doing here back so soon?" I ask curiously.

"Ya Salim brought me back, he said I should come and help you with work" she replied almost breaking down.

Ya salim is my elder brother and the eldest he is 30years. I turned and looked at Laila, who was laughing.
"There's nothing to help with, I'm done with my work. Just eat and do whatever you want" I say to her before walking out.

I enter my room and close the door to avoid any disturbance, I lie down next to Asiya who was still sleeping. She and I sleep in the same room so I can look after her.

Laila and Amira in the same room, Maryam sleeps alone while Ya Salim and Ibrahim are in the BQ but I'm okay with the arrangement. I got up to finish up some work before finally taking and bath and lying down to watch.

I woke up around 8am.
I scramble out of bed so I can get them ready in time and to my surprise both Laila and Amira were already dressed and ready for Islamic school.

"Have you had breakfast?"
Laila smiles "You know it"
"Okay, let me get my car keys" I quickly ran upstairs, got my keys and hijab before running out, meeting Maryam by the main door.

"Are they in the car?"
She nods.
"Why aren't you?" I ask resting my hands on my waist.

"I haven't done my assignment and if I go they'll flog me"
"I really don't care. Go get dressed now"

"But Ya Khadija—"
"I said I don't care" I repeat in a cherry tone.
"You're walking, we can't wait for you. Thank God it's not far"I walk away.

Yusuf's POV.

I groan.
I didn't sleep as early as I planned last night, I was so occupied with work.
I prayed and got dressed before leaving my room.
Working 24hours a day wasn't the plan but I'm not complaining either.

"Khalid! Khalipha!" I call out their names standing by their bedroom door. Their bedrooms are across each other but they never sleep separately, they always always end up sleeping while doing one thing or the other.

"Khalipha!! Khalid!!" I call out louder.
Khalipha's bedroom door opens "Yes?" Khalid says rubbing his eyes sleepily.

"Quickly change into your uniform so I can drop you two off"

Khalipha shoves Khalid aside, staring at me, smiling. "Why can't we go with our car?"

"Well because I'm going to work and I don't want to leave you with the keys. And if you don't get home immediately after Islamic school" I smirk "I'll seize it"
Khalid was leaning on the door frame still half asleep.

"You have to work on a weekend? Again? And this isn't the way guys our age live, we go out and have fun. Don't you remember how it was?"
Khalipha has always been the brains and Khalid the strength between the two, it can be really exhausting when they're plotting one thing or the other.

"Don't waste your time. You two are graduating in a month so you know I won't let you slack off" I walk away.

I sit at my table going through my files.
I was the only one present but then again it's the weekend.
My phone starts vibrating.

"Hey baby" Humaira says when I pick up.
"Hey, there. Sorry I've been occupied I forgot to call"

"Yeah I sensed that. Working on a weekend again?"
I huff "Yeah. Got a project due Friday and I'm not half way through it"

"So I shouldn't come by?"
I shake my head "You know how offended you get when I don't give you attention when I'm working"
"Do you really have to say it so openly?"

"You know it's because I love you"
She giggles "I love you too. How are the twins?"

"As you can imagine, dramatic"
"You didn't give them their car keys again?"

"I don't want another car ruined for stunts"

"Yeah I get it, I'll take a shower and check up on you afterwards" she says.
"Nothing for me?"

I smile "Make me your wife first"
"That's the plan"

"I'm dreaming, hoping and praying so. Alright I don't want to bother you anymore, have fun"
"You know you're never a bother, if I have time when I'm done I'll stop by"

She chuckles "I like the sound of that"
"I'll call if I can make it"
"Okay then, kisses"
"Bye"

"More kisses."
She ends the call.

Humaira and I have been dating for 6years and I really love her. We have an understanding and she makes me so happy.
She was there for the twins and I when our parents passed away and since then I promised myself they'd be no one else but her, at least that's what I'm hoping for.

I just hope things remain as they are.
