Aureto was holding off the spells, and Herlena did so as well. At one point Barkes stopped firing his spells.

"Well damn! I knew Aureto would be a tough nut, but you know how to protect yourself little lady! I would almost admire your talent!" Barkes said, giving a mean grin. "Paralitis!"
Barkes kept shooting the red paralitis spells, while Aureto and Herlena defended themselves until he turned towards Herlena and shouted "Imperius!"

Herlena couldn't move, nor could she speak. Aureto looked at her in slight fear.
"H-Herlena?" He asked, but all she could do is look at him with his mouth open.
"Well then, I'll let you speak your excuses before you take him down." Barkes said.
"Aureto" Herlena said, with a most disturbing, crackling voice. "I am so sorry." She said with a single tear rolling down her cheek but couldn't wipe it off. She pointed her wand at Aureto, and started shooting the same white balls of magical energy as Barkes was. Barkes started doing the same, making two attack points for Aureto. He kept protecting himself as much as possible, but sometimes took a hit to the side which gave great pain to him.

"Protego!" he said, pointing right above him. He created a shield all around him, but that didn't stop Barkes and Herlena from shooting at him.
"Oh come on, Aureto! Do something you coward!" Barkes said, mocking Aureto.
"Yes, Aureto!" Herlena said with her disturbed voice "Come at us!"
"Aureto coward!" Barkes and Herlena started chanting. Anger was building up as Aureto showed his anger in his face. His magical shield grew thinner by every hit. As they kept chanting and calling him out, the anger in Aureto grew enormous. He kept thinking of his past, his life before all this, the life he was afraid to pick up again during summer break. He couldn't hold it any longer, the anger is too big. He must release.

"Listen!" Alora started. "Don't do this! This place is very old and any damage done may turn fatal for us all!"
"Listen to her! Not only us, but you will die here as well!" Vincere added.
"Try me." The guy said, as he started firing the same white spell again, this time very quickly and aimed at Alora as well as Vincere. Without much effort somehow, they defended themselves, leaving the Gryffindor guy surprised.
"Well well, didn't think you had it in you to even defend yourself from a simple knockback jinx, but you guys are doing good! Let me step it up a notch!"

The same spell, which was first white, now slowly started to turn brownish, to a certain brown color which kept going darker and darker as seconds passed. Alora and Vincere were standing right next to each other, side to side, defending themselves and each other.
"Alora, we need to attack." Vincere whispered to her, while trying to defend himself. "If we keep doing this, the place will give."
"Spread up, and we can try!"
"Wait, Alora! I got an idea!"
"What?"
"The other side of the mirror is not broken! Use it to make his spell bounce back to him!"
"Great idea! I'll try!"

They started to spread up, making it difficult for the Gryffindor guy to keep shooting at them both. The spell was already a deep brown color and started to turn into black. Alora and Vincere felt that the change of color defined the power of the spell, since they found it harder to defend themselves against it. Now they were spread up far, and Alora was over at the mirror, and saw that there was indeed glass on the other side. She did not know if it would work, but they had to take the chance. Vincere looked at her, but let his guard down by doing so. One of the spells, which had a black color by now, hit him right in the stomach, sending him flying against the wall and got him unconscious.

The Gryffindor guy turned to Alora, who hid behind the mirror.
"You think that ugly mirror is going to defend you?!" He laughed "You are finished."
He raised his wand, and held it up in the air. The tip of his wand gathered the same blackness that he shot against Vincere, yet it became bigger with every moment. She walked back slightly, so the mirror could turn, and pointed her wand at the side.
"This is for you!" He yelled as a sound, much like that of a whip making impact, was made by slashing his wand towards the mirror. Alora knew this was her time! She had to do it now!
