Chapter 7

*the next morning*

I woke up in the morning feeling a bit cold, I opened my eyes and Sebastian wasn’t there, that made me a bit sad, but I knew it wouldn’t be good if someone found out about us and reported it to my parents, so I put up with it.

I sighed and forced myself to get up and get dressed, despite feeling really bad for some reason. I walked out of my room and downstairs to the dining table.

I sat down in my normal spot across from my parents, we ate in silence, but when my parents were about to leave, they stopped just before the door and my father looked back at me, “Alex, come to my study at 4 o’clock sharp” was all he said and walked off, not even giving me a chance to answer. ‘this can’t be good...” I thought with a worried look on my face.

It soon became 4 o’clock and I walked to my father’s study, full of dread.

I shakily knocked on the door, “h-hello?”

“come in” said a commanding voice.

I opened the door and saw my father at his desk, and a man with the look of lord Druitt standing in front of my father’s desk, he smiled at me, lecherously, I gave him a wary gaze and walked in to stand in front of my father, but staying as far away from the other man as I could.

my father looked at me sternly, “Alex, this is Fredrik Lecon, he has agreed to become your husband”

I froze, ‘h-husband......th-this can’t be happening.....’ I thought, horrified.

“you are to marry him and bear a male heir to the company”

I was shaking, but of course nobody noticed. “Pleasure to meet you, my princess” the letcher, Fredrik, said and tilted my head up to meet his gaze.

“....n-no....” I mumbled quietly

“what was that, sweet?”

I snapped back and gave him the evilest-red-warning-sign glare I could muster, “I said no!” I yelled and slapped his hand away and stood in a defensive pose, ready to strike if he came any closer, “stay back, letcher!”

he only smiled at me, his lecherous, lord Druitt smile, “now, sweet, why would I hurt you? we are to be wed after all”

“no we are not, I don’t care what you say, you take one step further, and I’ll get serious”

he flinched back a bit at that.

“Alex! stop this right now!”

“No, I am not getting married to this man!”

“Alex! I am your father, and you will listen to me!!! You are to marry him without complaint, is that clear?!” he yelled in a voice that would make grown men cry, I was startled and lowered my stance, shaking with rage and fear, glaring at the ground.

he smiled again, “I think I’d like to get to know her better, Is it alright if I talk with her alone?” he asked my father

“of course” he replied

he put a hand on my back, “shall we go, my robin?” he said and guided me out the door, once he confirmed the door closed and nobody was around, he pinned me against the wall and tried to kiss me, but I kneed him in the stomach before he could and kicked him in the side, watching him fall to the ground, “y-you...!” he coughed out

“don’t take me lightly, I’m not letting you take advantage of me” I said, ‘I have to find Sebastian....!’ I thought and broke out into a run.
