The Pentagram, commonly mistaken (in both outlook and wording) as a Satanic symbol, represents the five elements of Spirit, Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. The Pentagram is seen as the main symbol of Paganism and is also the symbol of protection.
The Pentacle is a Pentagram enclosed in a cricle. The Pentacle represents eternity, and four of the elements. Air is East, Earth is North, Fire is South, and Water is West. Air best represents knowledge, Earth strength, Fire will, and Water emotion.
