April 22

I can't believe what I have just done.

And all because I am just too proud sometimes. Bah!!

I was having an off day today. My parents weren't too happy with me because I had thrown a tantrum over who got the bigger cupboard and I ended saying some pretty rude things to the neighbours. I was now restricted to the house. I went out today to sign up for some Zumba classes as well as a comp course that I really wanted. I got the Zumba classes but I didn't get the comp classes because sum fat-arse mother thought that her child needed to get the seat and made a big hullabaloo about it. I was pissed not with the mom herself but with the admin guys who told me that I should not make a fuss, and dat,"I should respect my elders".

Respect my elders, my foot! Sometimes they act just as stupidly as five -yr olds. and why is that people think that just because it doesn't concern them, it is they're duty to point out to others wen they should respect they're elders.

Anyway I come home, and there he was. leaning on his bike.

My mean side reared up.

" Well look who's finally alone! Hey Aden, where is your posse of giggly girls who just lurve you?"

"Giggly girls? Girls don't follow me around. What's a posse anyway?"

"Why do I even bother with you?"

"What's up with you?"

"Nothing! What's wrong with you?".  I wasn't being fair to him but I didn't care.

"I don't even know why I care a shit about you", he told me finally snapping at me. "You're such a bore".

"Is that supposed to hurt? Because just in case you don't get it, it doesn't".

"For such a prude, you are such a bitch".

"Do u even know what a prude is? Or did u hear someone saying it and thought it would make people think you were smart??"

"I know what a prude is."

Then he looks at me and says,

"You don't mind me calling you a bitch?"

"Like I said before, I don't give a rat's ass what you think. Are you deaf? Or just plain stupid?"

"Whatever. You sound like my mom....Boooring! Do u know why I like your sister?" He continues without waiting for me to reply, "She actually enjoys herself wherever she goes. You on the other hand, are Miss Uptight."

I didn't like the way he thought of me,  so I couldn't help saying,

"You equate me with your mom?"

"Yup", he says, the 'p' popping.

"Well, I'm not. I just don't feel like partying with any Tom , Dick or Harry"

"Oh yeah? Prove it."

"Prove myself to you? Have you lost your freaking mind?"

"Scaredy-pop", he smirks infuriatingly.

"I am not!".  By this time I've forgotten that I'm supposed to be the ice-princess.

"There's a party today night. It starts at 9 at my friend's house. Come with me, show me that you really are fun and I'll never take your firki again."

"Are you taking panga with me?"

"Yup........ Unless you have no guts"

He's smirking. I could never back down from a challenge

"Fine. Your on."

"I'll be waiting for you at the entrance of the Greenfields Complex. D'you know where that is?"

"Yup"

"8:30?"

"Sure."

As I turn away from him, my nose is in the air, shoulders straight but inside I'm shaking.

No! I won't let him see me break down now.

So I wait until I know for sure that I'm in the house and its locked behind me.

Time to hyperventilate

Yeeaarrggghhhh! Why did I have to fall for that! Stupid stupid! I can't even back down without looking like chicken!

Okay okay calm down. Lets see:

Problem no. 1- what to wear

Problem no. 2- how to make sure good ol' mom & pop don't see me sneaking out of the house

Problem no. 3- how to sneak bk into the house

BUZZ!!!

My phone intruded on my thoughts

Wear a short dress. It'll look better with your kinda legs

What?!

6 hrs later:

Omg omg omg I can't do this I can't!!

I already got a mini heart attack when my mom suddenly stepped in the room to say goodnight just as I was trying to wriggle into my jeans. She sat down and said she wanted to talk about my recent behaviour.

She thinks I'm being purposefully argumentative just because I told her I wanted to go to sleep and yawned so loudly I got lockjaw.

Now, I need  my house keys. The very ones I will need later in the night to get back in and its most probably hanging in the kitchen for which I'll have to pass my parents' bedroom, how wonderful!

NOT!

I don't even know if my hair looks OK, because I had to fix it in the reflection of the glass cabinet out in the hall( the only good thing about this is that since I have curly hair everyone will understand if I say it wasn't co-operating), and that too without hair gel, or even a comb.

But my biggest problem is the fact that if I see alcohol, I will drink it. And if I do, and try to have a good time while making sure that Aden sees me having a good time, I don't know what I'd end up doing.

The last time something like that happened, Judy had to pretend to be me and tell my parents that I was staying at her place, when actually I was at Mana' s house (just in case they thought to come see me or worse, pick me up) enough to come home while my parents were at work the day after.

Long story short- me & vodka have a love-hate relationship.
