"No officer you have the wrong idea!" I say angry and upset. "No I don't young lady! We caught him right as he shot his father." "Come on that was an accident between him and the robber!" I say with a tear streaming down my face. "Look I'm sorry Mrs. Carter! But he was caught red handed with the gun!" He said and walked away. I drop to my knees crying. My parents can't bail him out and his dad was the only thing he had left. Now it was him in a jail sell.

One week later

Today I was seeing Luke again! If he's in jail I'm seeing him. Even if it takes an hour wait.

"Maddison Carter?" Asked the police lady. "That's me." "Luke is ready to see you." I follow her into a room with other people talking to the other arrested people. It was a big room with a glass separating the two rooms. With little phones so your able to talk with them. I take a seat in front of him.

"Luke how are you?!" "It's jail." "I know but I brought you some books and photos so your not bored." He nods and gulps. "If this was the last time you were gonna see me what would you say?" "Luke no don't do this!" Luke hung up the phone. "LUKE! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!!!!" I pound on the glass as he walks away.

I came to the prison and asked to talk to him again the next day. "Maddison Carter?" "Yes?" "Luke doesn't want to see you." I nod and grab my purse. He broke my heart into a dozen pieces.

I came every day for a month and every week for a year but Luke never wanted to see me. Which broke my heart and there was no fixing it.
