*Author's note*

Sorry to tell you guys this is the last update for today this was all I had so far but don't worry there will be more updates to come, I'll try to NOT abandon this story. Now I would like to point out something before we continue on with the story, lately I have dived back into one of my old time favorite childhood movies growing up (my cousin introduced it to me when we were kids since she LOVED horses) and the songs from the movie will HEAVILY INSPIRE some moments throughout the story like the one I have mentioned in this chapter and there will be another one yet to come in the next couple of chapters. I also wanna apologize if it's too short I promise to try and not make these chapters short next time and if the person who made the following MMV happens to be a Wattpad user, I give you FULL credit for your video it was HEARTBREAKING YET AWESOME!!!! Happy reading my lovelies :)

Oh God I tell you, after Lagos, the media was definitely loving us, nobody else anyway. Every day we had to keep hearing the same damn information about what had happened, and I don't wanna sound like a bad girl or anything but if Wanda hadn't done what she did, a lot more people could've been killed.

But right now, my focus was on Steve. When Rumlow had mentioned his old pal Bucky, he began to change.

Everytime I would see him, his aura was different he was—regretful and sad. I would try to coax him whether in my wolf form or just sitting there leaning my head against him, but each time he would acknowledge my attempts but then he'd leave and try to move on.

Currently now I was watching my favorite animated movie, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. It was at the sad part where Spirit was forced to be separated from Rain as she lay there injured and the song 'Sound the Bugle' was playing.

"You watching the Spirit movie again?" I heard Steve's voice say from my door. I smiled and said.

"What can I say? The music and the story itself is unique, and in a way, it really defines me. Defines all of us". I felt Steve sit beside me and the two of us sat there for a brief moment in silence before I said. "I know you're thinking about what he told you Steve, and don't try to deny it cause I know you're a terrible liar".

"I let my emotions get in the way of the mission. When he said Bucky, I was suddenly a 16 year old kid back in Brooklyn".

"Who was he to you? And don't hold anything back for me, please. It's what I'm here for, I am technically the therapy wolf for you guys". At that comment it made Steve smile a true smile and he finally fessed up on what I've been trying to get out of him.

"James Buchanan Barnes, or Bucky to me and most of everyone back in the 40's was about the only friend I had before the serum. We grew up together in Brooklyn way before the war hit, I was the kid too stubborn to run from a fight back then, Bucky was always there to have my back throughout all our lives together". He paused for a moment and I could feel that he was about to have a breakdown.

I leaned up against him and took his hand and squeezed it tightly urging him to take his time.

"It was 1944, we were on a mission to bring in Arnim Zola, I assume you know the name," I never thought I'd ever have to hear that name again after what his son did to me. My face went hard but I allowed Steve to continue, "Bucky and I were on the train taking down some of Hydra's soldiers when he was thrown off the train. I tried to save him but the rail soon broke off sending him down the mountain's edge. I should've gone to find him, if I had then Hydra would've never found him and turned him into the winter Soldier".

"You don't need to tell me anything else, I pretty much know everything about the Winter Soldier from what I read online and from Hydra themselves. But from what you have just told me, it sounds like Bucky was a pretty cool guy". Steve smiled softly and said.

"The best. Even when I had nothing, I had Bucky. Just like you have Wanda". I looked to him and said.

"Who knows how long it'll last. After all people are wanting to see her dead for what happened last week. Some of them are even blaming me which I don't blame them for that. I should've told you about the bomb before I let Rumlow's words get to me".

"It's on both of us (y/n). This job it's never easy. But if we can save those we can, that's what we fight for. Even if we can't save everyone, at least we prevent a whole lot more people for paying the price".

"Thanks Alpha wolf".

"Anytime". He brought me into his chest in a one armed hug as the song was starting to end and the two of us just sat in silence as we finished the movie together.

*FF to a month later*

God do they never talk about anything else these days? No wonder why my parents abandoned life here and went to live with the tribe when they had the chance. All I ever hear is what had happened in Lagos over a month ago still blaming us for what had happened, so would you all liked for us to not have even shown up cause we could've done that as well.

We could've just been like 'you know what? Let's take a day off I'm sure these mercs aren't gonna do anything. Much less attack an institute where biological weapons are stored. Nah let's just go to the Bahamas and soak up some sun'.

I stood outside Wanda's door as she watched the news talk about her when suddenly her TV turned off and when I looked up I saw Steve standing there across from me just as he was sitting down Wanda's remote.

"It's my fault" said Wanda.

"No it's not Mama Bear" I said.

"Turn the TV back on, they're being very specific" she said to Steve. I walked up to her bed and sat down beside her and hooked my arm around hers and leaned up against it as I said.

"I should've clocked that bomb vest long before you had to deal with it, people died. This one's on me Mama Bear". Wanda looked down at me and she said.

"It's on both of us" she said as she pet my head softly. I leaned up against her and nuzzled her shoulder when I felt the bed dip slightly beside me.

"This job—we try to save as many people as we can. Sometimes that doesn't mean everybody, but if we can't find a way to live with that...then next time, maybe nobody gets saved". Steve said to Wanda the same thing he had told me about a month ago and I just had to add in what no one out there has accepted to knowledge.

"And think of it this way Wan, if you hadn't have done what you did, there would've been a lot more casualties, Me, Steve, all those people both outside and inside the lower levels of the building would've been killed". Mama Bear looked at me and she softly smiled and kissed my forehead when suddenly Vision appeared form the wall.

I growled alarmingly and Wanda stroked my hair to calm me down as she told the android.

"Vis! We talked about this, you know how that scares (y/n)".

"Yes, but the door was opened so I assumed...." He stopped realizing his mistake before continuing, "Captain Rogers wished to know when Mr. Stark was arriving".

"Thank you. We'll be right down" said Steve.

"I'll use the door, I apologize again Miss (y/n)," I nodded acknowledging his common mistake that he always makes before he stopped at the door saying, "Oh, and apparently he's brought a guest".

"Do you know who it is?" I asked.

"The Secretary of State" stated Vision before he walked down the hallway out of Wanda's room.

Craaaaaaap.
