"Starting today, we have a new member who will be staying with us in the hideout.", the orange haired leader's voice resonated inside of the hideout's lobby.
Being a part of the Akatsuki somehow felt great. A lot of people feared the organization filled with dangerous and powerful rogue ninjas. However, I feel extremely nervous since I quit doing my dirty, old ways. The only reason why I accepted their offer is because I needed a place to stay.
One by one, I scanned the faces of the members and I must say, all of them looked intimidating. My eyes landed on a certain redhead who was observing me from head to toe. I shifted uncomfortably, not liking the way he was staring at me. I quickly averted my gaze from him, hoping that he'd do the same but to my dismay, he was still looking at me.
"Y/N.", Pein called out to me.
I shuffled over to the leader and stood right beside him. Once again, I glanced at everyone and this time, I smiled and gently waved at them. A few of them actually reciprocated the gesture which made me quite happy.
After the quick introduction, Pein left the hideout to check on the current condition of The Hidden Rain. I was still in the lobby, being entertained by the other members especially the blond man with beautiful ocean blue eyes.
"May I know your name?", I politely asked the aforementioned blond man. His lips curled into a smirk and replied:
"It's Deidara, hn."
Everyone else went back to their own rooms afterwards and resumed with the things that they were doing. And for a split second, I thought that I was going to be alone. I'm just glad that Deidara stayed with me while I was still getting used to the place.
As we were conversing, I caught a glimpse of the redhead again. I was too occupied with the man and I just couldn't help but gawk at him. His hair was the first thing that caught my attention, it had the perfect shade of red. While I was openly staring at the redhead, I snapped out of my thoughts when Deidara called my name.
"Y/N! Are you alright?", He asked worriedly as he eyed me with concern.
"Hey, what's the name of the redhead?", I asked out of curiosity while pointing out to the said man.
"Hn? You must be talking about my partner, Sasori-danna."
So that was his name. I peered over to him once more and this time, he was looking back. It was the second time that we locked eyes today. He probably thinks of me as a creep so just when I was about to approach him, he hastily walked backed to his room while slamming the door in the process. The loud slam caught the attention of the other members, making them walk out of their rooms.
A shark-like man approached us and asked Deidara, "What's bothering Sasori this time?"
"I don't know. I'm sorry, danna.", Deidara apologized.
"For a man with no emotions, he sure is grumpy.", Kisame, I assumed which was his name, replied as he heaves a sigh.
No emotions? What did he mean by that? I may seem like a huge gossiper but that statement really made me curious. I let out a cough, getting the attention of the two men near me.
"What do you mean by no emotions? Is there something wrong with him?", I queried.
Both Kisame and Deidara glanced at each other for a while before the blond man replied, "Oh! Sasori-danna is actually a human puppet that's why he couldn't really feel any emotions, hn."
