I throw down the note, my whole body shaking in fear. I couldn't bear to reread the note as I shut the windowpane. First the nightmares, then the note, is like 2007 again.
I shudder as I realize the date. My sixteenth birthday, June 29th.
Maybe there's a reason why the nightmare came today. Maybe the message from the black eyed man was finished, and today was the day I would meet the man. Find out why he was haunting me for all these years.
I sigh, as I grab my bag. I tuck the note under my moms journal from when she was younger, and walk down the stairs of the motel I was sleeping in that night. When I walk out of the door, I
feel a piercing cold air run through my hair.
I bump into two men, as I walk over to my car, a 67 impala, navy blue. "Hey, nice wheels you have there." One of the men say as they help me pick up my moms journal, which fell on the concrete. "Thanks, it's a classic. My moms old car actually." He laughs, a deep throaty laugh, and I look at him confused, as he reaches into his pocket and takes out some keys. They are the same as mine, but with a record keychain hanging next to it. He presses the unlock button, and I hear a car unlock behind the motel. " midnight black. Nice." I whistle as I turn the corner and see his car. "I'm Avianna, by the way." I reach out my arm to shake hands, and he gives me a firm shake. "Dean." He smiles at me, his bright green eyes reflecting off the light.
"Will you two get a room?" The other man says, laughing. "This is my brother Sammy. He doesn't get the whole car obsession thing." I giggle, he's sarcastic, and funny. "Nice to meet you, Avianna, but may I ask, what are you doing out here by yourself?" Sammy says, smiling at me, but worriedly. "I  just stayed the night, parents are out. I guess I'm what you call, a loner." I say, silently laughing, but the Dean and sam look at me obviously confused. "Do you need anything, I've got some beers in the car." Dean asks me, and I realize a nice cold beer sounds very appetizing. "Dude, you can't give beers to a minor." Sam laughs, but I smile up at dean. "That actually sounds very nice, thanks, Dean." I walk over to Deans impala, and he hands me a corona, as well as my mothers journal. I wipe the dirt off of the leather cover, my brown hair falling into my face. I open the bottle with my bare hands and Dean laughs, impressed. "Nice, you have some serious skills, kid." He pats me on the back, and takes a seat on a bench outside the motel.
"So, what made you come here?" Sam says, sitting next to Dean and I. "Nothing much really, I graduated last month, so I've just been travelling around, I guess." I say, taking a long sip of the beer. I can't let them know why I'm actually here. Because of the black eyed man.
Then I realize, Dean.
