"Please welcome the newly weds to the dance floor!" The DJ's voice announced as applause filled the large hall. Our eyes met seconds after the applause began - your beautiful blue eyes seemed to pull mine in - and you reached out your hand to lead me up for our first dance; as 'You & I' began to play quietly, you wrapped both arms delicately around my waist.
Suddenly, my world seemed to fall apart until only you and I remained, dancing away to the song I always said described us two. Gently, I rested my head upon your chest as you lead the dance, still holding my waist - I felt safe here, as I always told you, which caused me to easily fall asleep upon you, but you didn't care, as long as I was close to you. As I gazed up, I saw your beautiful smile that seemed to glow with happiness, the same for your sapphire eyes. You never truly knew or understood how much you meant to me, but it was clear to me through the happiness I saw that emitted from your handsome face how much I meant to you.
The song slowly came to a close, but you never let go of me (it felt like you were holding on tighter). It's strange how, in a mere few hours, you have become so much more to me than before, and I never wanted this moment to die. 'I love you' you whispered in my ear before softly placing a kiss upon my cheek and then, holding my face with one hand, upon my lips.
