A great way to learn more about filming is to see behind the scenes. There are many photos of behind the scenes. All you have to do is go on Google and type in "Heartland behind the scenes". It will come up with all kinds of pictures. The best behind the scene photos are the ones in the studio. This shows you landscape backgrounds, cameras, lighting, the Heartland house, and even the Heartland barn!
All of the interior scenes are filmed in the studio. Like in the kitchen, or barn office. All of the indoor scenes are filmed in the studio, and all of the outdoor scenes are filmed at Heartland or another location. If you go to the ranch house at Heartland, it is empty. That's why they have to film the indoor scenes in the studio.
They also have a replica of the Heartland barn. So it looks exactly the same in the studio as it does the barn at the ranch. As for the loft, it is filmed in the studio as well. The real loft in the real barn is just used for storage, and there isn't much up there.Below: A scene is being filmed in the loft in the studio.
