Naomi Khalay Copper is a gorgeous dark skin girl(first girl) she is smart but one problem. She goes to a high class school in Memphis called Memphis School for Gifted and she and her friend Ava(2nd girl) are the only dark skin girls in the school.They get bullied by light skinned and white people.Ava and Naiomi live similar lives.Naiomi is a Foster child and is treated like a maid by her Foster parents.Ava lives with her abusive uncle and is forced to be a maid.Naiomi meets Derwin and is introduced to a new world.
