How to Drown Your Demons

Introduction

"Even the pure of heart have demons who need to be drowned"

This phrase came to me at 2:25 am in a night that sure made my list of the most hot I had ever experienced.

It was so hot that even with air conditioning I couldn't fall asleep. My mind was unclear, every thought that came to me that night seemed to appear like magic. I tried but I couldn't find any kind of connection, I couldn't connect the dots!

Not being able to connect the dots made me start writing what I hope it becomes a great book. A book that helps you understand your story as well as it helped me understand mine.

The title of the book "How to Drown Your Demons" has nothing to do with spirits, but with the demons that every person has in their life. These demons sometimes appear in our life for a reason, for the purpose of making us better people by forcing us to act differently according to unlikely situations.

And trust me I had a lot of those demons throughout high school!

Throughout the book you will be meeting new characters so pay attention to the ones who stay and the ones who go, this is my story, the story of how I got where I'm today, the path I embraced.

Oh! One last thing. All the character names in this book were altered, but they were also carefully chosen for each person who took part in my story.

I'm Violet, but all my friends call me Vi. I'm 17 and live in Oporto, Portugal ( a beautiful city to be living in when you're a teenager and like to have fun from time to time). I have hazel eyes and a darkish brown hair color, but I dye it, summing up I'm your average girl.
