Dahvie's P.O.V

I clutched Jayy's hand as we walked to Gym class, our first period of the day. He rubbed soothing circles on my hand to try and soothe me and to be honest, it wasn't really working. Just to my surprise, we got assigned to be with the same exact homeroom I was in in South Hills, therefore, I have to deal with the same people I had too before.

Truth is, I'm terrified. I've always pushed away the memories I have had in that hell hole, and I have a really bad feeling that they're all going to come back. I'm afraid that I'll go numb again.. I really don't want that to happen, I don't want Jayy and the others to see me like that.

I felt an arm wrap around me and I turned my head and saw Jeffree giving me a reassuring smile. "Sweety, don't worry so much! If any if them try and insult you, either me, or one of your family members here will fuck them up."

I couldn't help but smile at that. He knew me so much that he could even make me feel a little better like Jayy does. "Thanks... I really hope it won't come to that through."

He gave a solid nod and continued foreword. I actually feel kinda guilty, it's his first day here and he has to worry about me...

When we walked in the gym, other familiar faces were already there sitting on the benches, talking to each other and joking around and what-not, obviously waiting for us.

Then my eyes went big in realization. I'm dressed as a girl! They're going to torture me MORE. Okay, I don't judge, I'm perfectly fine with transvestite and gay and what-not, but like, the other kids here aren't.

"Holy shit!"

That's all I heard as I walked past from the people I've been trying to forget.

I was clutching Jayy's hand so hard that I was sure that I was hurting him, but he didn't complain as we made our way to the other side of the gym and sat down on the benches.

I swear, I could feel all their burning gazes on me. I bit my lip and looked away, forcing myself to ignore it. I'm pretty sure they could tell I was forcing myself because most of them started snickering and whispering to each other.

I kept my eyes away and focused on Mr. Fingers, saying something about doing fitness testing today. He asked me if I wanted to do it so I didn't have to when I went back to Florida and I accepted without really thinking.

"Okay! So, for the test, we're going to do running. When I call your names, come up and line up on the yellow line." He instructed, pointing at the floor in the end of the room.

He looked down at his clipboard and started calling out names. "Amamnda... Ashley, Aaron, Bryan, Brooke, and Chris."

Some kids that tortured me got up off the bench across from us as Chris who was next to me hopped up and walked over on the line, being the last one on the right.

Mr. Fingers pulled put a timer, "And.... go!"

Everyone started sprinting towards the end of the gym, some throwing sneers or snickering in my direction, and I was so glad this place didn't have a locker room or else I would have probably be dead before next period.

I sighed and shrunk back, Jayy wrapped his arm around me and I immediately felt safe. I relaxed into his touch and he kissed the top of my head and I smiled a little. He's so cute, I swear.

"Dahv's, they're staring at us." Mason mumbled from next to me.

I frowned. "Yeah, just try to ignore it. If you make eye contact they'll take that as an invitation to get you alone later and mug you."

Jeffree gasped. "They did that to you?"

I shrugged. "They mugged me once and jumped me twice in a bathroom stall." Then I shook my head, trying to get the awful memories away from me.

"Okay! That was really good guys!"

I looked over and saw Mr. Fingers smiling as the obviously very tired kids drenched in sweat went over and sat in the bench. Chris, being his usual hyper-self ran over and plopped down in his usual seat, grinning.

"Next group." He called, looking down at his clipboard again. "Crystal, Dahvie, David, Dustin, and Darley. Line up."

I felt my body stiffen and I looked at Jayy with huge eyes. "I got put with everyone else."

He smiled reassuringly and kissed my temple. "If any if them try and hurt you then I'll be there. Don't worry. You're a fast runner, just keep a distance from them."

I swallowed, trying to get the lump out of my throat and slowly stood up. Its true I was a pretty fast runner, I mean, me and my brothers play football all the time. I've been playing with them.since I was about six or seven.

Slowly, I made my way over to the end of the line, ignoring the stares of everyone.

"Dude, you're still alive? I thought you killed yourself a while ago."

Slowly, I lifted my head and saw Crystal smirking at me. I remember her, she like to throw food at me and call me a fatass..

I drew a forced smile, deciding to play and be nice. "Actually, no, I'm still here."

She raised her brow at me. "Oh, I've noticed the unwanted presence in the room."

I felt the pang of hurt hit me. Unwanted presence..

"Yo! Is it him?"

Darley, David, and Dustin all poked their heads out and looked at me. Darley sneered. "So he IS still alive."

David shrugged. "Lets just hope he'll kill himself soon."

"Dustin nodded his head. "Agreed."

The hurt started to bubble up and I could feel hatred. "You know what?" I snapped.

They all looked at me surprised, probably not expecting me to speak. I smiled. "I think I'll stay alive, just to piss you off."

"Go!" Mr. Fingers shouted and I started to sprint down to the other wall across the room.

With the help of football and my regular speed plus me thinking that Stark is chasing me to kill me, I ran pretty fast, going down and back. We had to do it 10 times.

I never really sweat, but I could feel a small bead of it make its way onto my forehead as I finally finished, trying to catch my breath as I leaned against the wall, waiting for the others to finish. Jesus Christ, I ran so fast that they're two laps behind.

As soon as I catched my breath, I slowly walked back towards everyone, plopping down next to Jayy and whipping the little bit of sweat I had off my face. I put my elbows on my knees and leaned foreword, looking over and smiling at him a little. "It went better than expected."

He chuckled and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "I've seen. I saw that girl try to trip you more than once but you kept passing her."

I rolled my eyes."She was probably the second to worst person to me." Then I shrugged. "So I'm not really surprised."

He pulled on me and I got the message and leaned over and relaxed into him, loving how he ran his fingers through my hair. I sighed in content and wrapped my arms around his waist. That's what I love about this school, the teachers don't care that two people are cuddling on a bench in the middle of class..

I buried my face in his shoulder. "Maybe this won't be too bad..."
