Distortia is an odd place, therefore, it is founded on strange laws. The most unquestionable and definite of all being the laws of Discord, a difficult and incomprehensible way to twist the mind, if without the potential.
It is based on the ideology that anything can be altered to become anything else through alchemy, mechanics, perspective or other means. Due to alchemy being a main component of this, it also follows the laws of equal exchange. Equal exchange means that to obtain something, an equal replacement must be available. For those who are not familiar with the laws of equal exchange, think of it as ...
"An eye for an eye" .
Following this law, the same must be done to truly understand Discord. A certain level of intellect- and perspective- is required from the merchant which will be used to permanently change their mind: to be able to play and flex with reality itself.
In the case that the merchant does not have the capacity to flow with Discord, there is no danger. They simply can't imagine Discord and so live an abnormal -normal life and their chances of gaining the title Master are impossible. However, if Discord is performed incorrectly, it will mean total annihilation of nearby surroundings or slight destruction in form of an implosion.
These are the basics of complexity for beginning merchants, apprentices of Masters and possibly life itself.
