4. Confrontation...

After the morning incident, everyone was in a good mood. Ragini was playing with Mohini in her room when, the Maheshwari family led by Laksh, came into the room. "Ok, enough is enough. I know Mohini is my child," said Laksh taking a step towards Mohini. "Wait a minute, who said she is your child? And why do you care all of a sudden?" asked Ragini, standing in front of Laksh, not letting him move to Mohini. "She is MY daughter, I have my rights" responded Laksh. Ragini fixed an angry glare on him. "She is not your daughter Laksh" said Ragini trying to keep her cool. Laksh ignored her and started walking towards Mohini, Ragini stopped him before her could touch her, " Don't you dare come near her"  said Ragini a little angry. "Ragini I am the father of this child, she is mine." ,said Laksh. Mohini got scared of Laksh and held Ragini's leg, hiding behind it. "Mr. Laksh Maheshwari!!!! You are not the father of this child!!!!!! You can get her DNA tests done!! Ranveer is the father of this child! You and me have no relationship!!" yelled Ragini frustrated. The Maheshwari family was shocked and confused about the situation. They were always under the thought that Laksh had betrayed Ragini only by marrying Kavya. So now when Laksh is saying Mohini is his child, they began to wonder... Was there was more to the betrayal than just marrying Kavya? "Wait, what? Laksh how can you even think this is even your child?" asked Swara. "Yeah Laksh. We thought you just betrayed her by marriage. So how can Mohini be your child?" asked Sanskaar. "BECAUSE I USED RAGINI!!!! I CHEATED HER AND PHYSICALLY USED HER!!!," said Laksh in rage, "And Mohini is my child!!" Everyone was shocked by the truth. "Laksh how could you stoop so low!!!" said Annapurna in shock of her son's deeds. "LAKSH!!!!! How dare you!!!! Today you have proved you are not my son!" said his father with discust. "Yes it is true I did wrong. But if I am going to leave then I am taking my daughter with me!!" Laksh reaching for Mohini. When he felt a tight slap on his face. "MR.LAKSH MAHESHWARI DON'T YOU EVEN DARE. TODAY YOU HAVE CROSSED YOUR LIMITS. I AM NOT PART OF YOUR FAMILY ANYMORE. THIS IS MY HOUSE, MY DAUGHTER, MY LIFE WITH MY HUSBAND RANVEER, AND IT DOES NOT INCLUDE YOU!!!! I AM DONE WITH YOU, AND IF YOU EVER TRY TO DO ANYTHING ELSE I WILL MAKE SURE THAT THERE WILL REMAIN NO TRACE THAT YOU EVER EVEN EXISTED!!!!!!!!!" said Ragini fuming in anger. Laksh was then forced to leave, and not show his face again. "Ragini, I will get my revenge!!" said Laksh as he left. Everyone let out a sigh, that now Laksh was taken care of. 

Ragini left from the room with Mohini as Laksh left. She suddenly felt a searing pain in her shoulder, as she walked down the hall. Then her head started to throb. Before she could do anything, everything went black....

Ranveer was on his way walking towards Ragini when he noticed her falling unconscious. He quickly caught her and took her to their room, gently placing her on the bed. Soon Ragini woke with a start yelling Ranveer's name. 

"Ragini.... calm down. I am right here. Take it easy." ,said Ranveer helping her sit up against the b back board of the bed. "What happened?!" ,she asked. "You blacked out" said Ranveer sitting next to her. "What exactly happened?" asked Ranveer. "After I came out of the room, I felt pain in my shoulder and head, and then like you said, I blacked out" answered Ragini. "Did you take your medicines?" asked Ranveer. Ragini winced at the question, "No..." she answered. "Yaar, what is this? How can you forget to take your medicines? Do you want to get better?" asked Ranveer furious. "I do want to get better... but the medicine tastes horrible" replied Ragini. "You will always be a kid....Now you are going to take it easy from now on. No house work, No cooking, no cleaning, nothing of that sort." said Ranveer. "Now that you have restricted me from doing anything, can we go downstairs with the rest of the family?" asked Ragini,  Ranveer smilled  "That is fine but you need to rest, and I am not going to let you walk." said Ranveer carrying Ragini in his arms bridal style "Ranveer!! Put me down!!! What will the family think they already caught us this morning!!" said Ragini lightly hitting his chest trying to get down. The Maheshwari family were already downstairs when they noticed Ranveer walking down smiling at Ragini in his arms while she tried to get out of his hold and was pouting cutely. "Please..." asked Ragini again. "No I will not put you down!" said Ranveer as he spun around with Ragini in his arms. They were having fun like that while the Maheshwari family were laughing at them. Suddenly Mohini ran up to them. "Mumma, why is Papa carrying you!!! Did you break your leg again, or did you sprain your ankle? Or did you do something else to your leg?" asked Mohini in a cutely. The family including Ranveer laughed harder. "Wait, so your Mumma broke her leg before!?!" ,asked Sanskaar. "Yes!!! She has many times!!" ,said Mohini with a pout. Everyone laughed again, while Ragini flushed in embarrassment. "Yes and I even had to carry her around everywhere. She is sooo heavy!! And Fat!!" said Ranveer. "Ranveer!! How dare you!! When I get better I will make sure to get you back!! Now put me down!" exclaimed Ragini showing fake anger. Ranveer walked to the couch and placed her on the couch and sat next to her.

"Awww, my babu looks soo cute when she is angry" said Swara teasing Ragini. "So mumma, why was papa carrying you?" asked Mohini. "Actually beta, your papa wanted to irritate mumma. That's why" said Ragini picking up Mohini in her lap. "Mumma, I'm a big girl. I know papa did it so you could rest, and get better" said Mohini holding Ragini's hands. "I will also give you a special medicine help you get better even faster" said Mohini as she kissed Ragini's injured forehead and shoulder. "See now you will get better" said Mohini. "Awww. Thank you my baby. You sure have become a big girl." ,said Ragini hugging Mohini and kissing her forehead. Everyone was adoring this moment. "Ok, so now she has become a big girl, don't you think it's time for her to get another Brother or Sister" asked Sanskaar giving a wink to Ragini. "Sanskaar..." said Ragini blushing a little. While everyone else was amused. "Well actually I agree with Sanskaar, don't you think so Ragini? Maybe a few more siblings?"  joked Ranveer high-fiving Sanskaar. Ragini face palmed, "What kind of person did I marry?" asked Ragini to herself. "A hot and handsome one" said Ranveer with a wink. Ragini beat him on the arm lightly, while everyone laughed. "Anyways, let's clear one thing, I am not fat! And......." said Ragini when something caught her attention it was a necklace Swara was wearing. It was a gold plaited necklace with some symbols engraved in it. "Ranveer, can you hold Mohini for a second?" asked Ragini handing Mohini to Ranveer. She got up from the couch and went to a bookshelf nearby. She pulled out a golden book hidden behind the shelf and started flipping through the pages, but immediately stopped at one page. She looked from Swara's necklace and back to the book. "Ragini what's wrong?" asked Ranveer. Everyone was observing Ragini as she kept looking back and forth from Swara's necklace, to the book. "Swara.... where did you get that necklace?" asked Ragini looking at the necklace. "Ohh this?.... Laksh had given it to me saying, some person wanted to give it to me. Why do you ask?" asked Swara. Ragini got alerted, "Did Laksh say who or where he got it from?!?" asked Ragini frantic. "No, but why are you asking? Is anything wrong?" asked Swara. "Ragini, what's going on?" asked Ranveer worried. "But why? Why would they try to hurt me, and then bring the necklace back here? What's the connection?" ,asked Ragini to herself flipping through the book. "Ragini what do you mean by try to hurt you? And what about this Necklace?" asked Ranveer. Ragini didn't answer, "Swara can you bring me your necklace?" asked Ragini. "Ok.. but Ragini what is going on?!?" ,asked Swara giving the necklace to Ragini.  "I can't tell you at this moment" said Ragini trying to find something on the necklace.  As she found what she was looking for, she pulled on the necklace, to find a flash-drive that was hidden in the necklace. She dimmed the lights and put the flash-drive in a computer, which was projected. There was a video on it. Ragini played the video. There was a man in black clothes wearing a mask speaking, "Great job Ragini! You got my first message. You must be wondering about this necklace. You are right the person who attacked you at the Himalayas was wearing this exact necklace. But then again you must be thinking who could have done it, and why. Well I'll just leave that to you"  with that the video was finished and Ragini was left deep in thoughts...
