Pallet and Cray sighed, and cleaned up the rest of the toys. When they finished, PJ closed the daycare up and left with Bluescreen. Pallet lived on Cray and Goth's street, he just lived 1 house away from Cray and 3 houses from Goth's. Goth was visiting someone else, so that meant Pallet would be walking with Cray. Alone. He sighed, and messed around on his phone while walking, refusing to even look at Cray. In the middle of the walk home, rain started pouring down. Cray opened an umbrella, and continued on, leaving Pallet in the rain. "Pfft, as if he'd ask!" Pallet thought to himself, ignoring how cold he was getting. "It's just a bit longer..." Pallet thought, getting more colder by the second. Cray looked back at Pallet, and sighed. "Get under my umbrella." He sighed. Pallet looked away.
"I'm fine." Pallet growled, and looked away. Cray shrugged, and continued on.Once Pallet got to his house, the first thing he thought of was changing and getting some blankets. He swapped his soaked outfit into a much drier one, and walked to his closet to grab a blanket. He was about to grab the first one, but hesitated when he saw what colors it had on it. Green and magenta. He looked under it, and found a yellow and green one. He smiled as he took it to his couch. He ended up just watching some undertube and playing on his counsel a bit. He ate some dinner, and decided to go to bed.
Cray got home, and closed his umbrella. Of course, his mother wasn't there. She was never there. Cray let out a sigh, and went to go grab a notebook. He started to doodle in it, and ended up using just two colors. These colors where yellow and green. Cray sighed, and threw the yellow crayon across the room, to pick up a gold one. He sighed, and finally picked a purple color. He smiled, and started doodling again. Once he finished, it was around the time he would usually eat some dinner. He sighed, finishing it and going to his room. He sat on his bed, and after a while of drawing, he decided to get some sleep.
Pallet woke to his alarm, which was a cheerful kindergarten song. Pallet giggled, feeling much better than before. He started to sing along childishly, until he coughed a bit. He sighed, and got out of his bed slowly. He walked to his fridge to get a glass of water. He drank a bit, and instantly felt better. He smiled, and put his regular clothing on. He grabbed some water, and ran out of the house, with a bit of a cough.
Cray saw Pallet coughing a bit, and walked over to him. "Are you alright?" He asked.
"Yeeeep! I'm totally fine buddy! Don't worry about good ol' me!" Pallet cheered, running off. He dropped his water. Cray walked over, and picked it up. He decided to give it to him at the daycare. He walked they way instead, of running like Pallet. He saw Pallet coughing a few more times before they got there, but he seemed overall okay.Pallet got there, on time, and opened the door. He felt a light tap on his shoulder. Cray gave him the water, gave him a cold glare, and walked off. Pallet sighed, annoyed, and went to go see Goth. As soon as he saw Cray in the kitchen with Goth beside the toaster, he decided to leave. He decided to go see if any of the others needed his help. All the kids got there, and Pallet walked over to Ink.
"Heya! What are you drawing?" Pallet asked in a loud-whisper. Ink smiled at him and looked down at his drawing.
"I'm drawing you, Dream, and me together." Ink then wrote 'family' above them. Pallet smiled, and went to look at the other kids.It was snack time, and Cray was in charge of the kitchen. He sighed, putting his book down and walking to the kitchen.
"PJ! What should I give them?" Cray asked.
"There should be animal crackers in the top left shelf!" PJ called back. Cray nodded, and went to go grab them. He heard a cough, and turned his head worriedly. Oh, it's just Pallet.
"Don't mind me." Pallet growled, ending up coughing more.
"if you're that sick, go home. We can't risk the kids being sick." Cray sighed. Pallet was about to argue, but fell in a coughing fit. Cray silently sighed, and gabbed Pallet some water, and went to get the crackers. He handed them to PJ, and walked back to Pallet. Cray held out his arm.
"What?" Pallet asked, staring at the hand. Cray grabbed Pallet, and pulled him up. "H-hey!-"
"We're going home, you're not well." Cray sighed. "I told PJ and he told me to bring you home." Pallet was about to fight, but ended up coughing.
"Fine. O-only this once.." Pallet sighed.Dream walked up to Cray and Pallet. "Whewe is Mr.Pawwet going?" Dream asked.
"Mr.Pallet is a bit sick today, so I'm taking him home." Cray smiled, Dream frowned a bit.
"Hope you feew bettow, Mr.Pawwet!" Dream waved, going back to where everyone else was. Pallet waved back, then quickly covered his mouth as he coughed a bit. Cray picked him up, and continued walking.
"H-hey! What are you doing?!" Pallet asked, glaring at him.
"I'm carrying you." Cray replied in an annoyed tone. Pallet decided to shut up and let Cray carry him."And we're here." Cray growled, opening the door but gently placing Pallet on the couch. Pallet hissed at him, and coughed a bit. "I'm taking care of you too for today, so get used to me."
"PJ asked you to, didn't he?" Pallet asked.
"Goth actually. He overheard you where sick, and pretty much begged me to take care of you. If he wasn't my friend, I would've said no." Cray sighed. Pallet didn't complain, since he knew Cray wouldn't leave and Goth would be extremely worried. Pallet growled under his breath, this was going to be a long day. After the day was finished, Pallet was surprised. Cray didn't bother him too much, and they didn't even fight once. He just was... There. He even let Palette hide under a bunch of covers, wich he was currently doing. Cray put down his book, and looked at his phone.
"Should I just leave, or do you want me to make you dinner?" Cray asked, with an angry glare. Pallet smirked to himself, he could make Cray do work for him!
"J-just, please, could you make dinner?" Pallet asked, pretending to be angry. He coughed at bit. He heard Cray grumble, before heading off. Pallet giggled to himself, continuing to play on his phone.
