I sat there, with a blood-red apple in my hands, still wondering if I had made the right decision. The memory of last night's events still ran through my head, haunting me yet also comforting me. I remembered every detail, every word she told me, but this time instead of pushing those memories aside, I decided to relive them again.
"W-where am I?" I asked as a white light shone into my eyes. I remembered how I was going through all the steps of the Final Plan, and then being seduced by a woman, bringing her back to my room, and finally being knocked out.
"Why?" questioned a female voice.
"Excuse me?" I replied in utter confusion. Obviously at the time I was still in a state of shock.
"You know what I mean," said the voice.
"I honestly have no idea what you mean," I had calmed down by then and was just agitated by the light. "But considering that your voice sounds female, I'm guessing that you're talking about the Final Plan."
The female voice said nothing, she didn't want to ruin the moment, she wanted me to continue.
"Well you see if you're asking me why then you must want to know the how, and well if you wanted to know why and how we were going to conduct the Final Plan, then why not just go after the plan itself? Why waste time sitting here with me?"
"Well I already know what the Final Plan is. First, round up all the women at huge warehouses using the excuse of a new disease that only affects women to be your cover up. Second, inject them all with your so called vaccine. Third, flip the kill switch. And fourth, send out squadrons to collect all the bodies. And all this just because you can create women? Do you really think that synthetic women can really replace us?"
"Well we wanted to create a paradise without nagging women to hold us back, our theory is that we can get farther without liabilities like another gender to hold us back, but don't worry we have a plan B to fall back on." At the time I was so confident of our plan but looking at it now, with this apple in hand, I saw the many flaws.
Then I remember being hit on the back of the head again but this time I woke up in my bed with a note on my kitchen table. A note with an apple over it. The woman's code name was Eve and she wanted me to be her Adam, on the note she gave me a choice. Either eat the apple to represent yes or discard it to represent no. The things she wrote on the note, opened my eyes to our ignorance of the consequences.
And as I bit into the apple, I remembered what happened to Adam and Eve when they ate the apple. They were banished from Paradise.
