prologue

(past)

A small child smiled running after a small white and  fox-like Pokemon "Pwincess slowdown,"

He giggled The small fox-like Pokemon stopped running and let out a small cry and ran to the small child jumping into his arms. He laughed and fell back laughing more as the Pokemon licked his face happily. "Vulpix!"

Soon, two adults walked outside. "Sam it's time for dinner. Get princess and come inside!"

The small child known as Sam pouted "Buts I'm not hungry," He said in a whining tone but picked up princess carrying her in his small arms and ran inside.

(present day)

An alarm clock shaped like a Pikachu went off blasting a loud noise. A groan could be heard from under the covers of a bed as Sam who is now 14 opened his eyes and stared at his ceiling and groaned "Great another day of hell,"

He threw off the covers and sat up stretching, He scooted over to the edge of his bed and sat up and walked over to his closet as he heard banging on his room door.

"Sam get up mom and dad wants to tell us something!" A feminine voice yelled

He rolled his eyes "Yea yea I'll be down soon," He said loud enough to be heard

As he heard the retreating footsteps of his sister going down the stairs he grabbed a shirt quickly putting it on and grabbed his jacket and some jeans putting them on and opened his door quickly walking down the stairs. Seeing his parents and his sister waiting for him, He blinked "You asked for me?"

His mom looked at him "Your father and I have decided to let you go on your Pokemon journey,"

As soon as the words hit his ears he ran upstairs grabbing his bag and a Pokeball and ran back downstairs. He quickly ran past his parents and toward the door hoping to get past it before they changed their mind before he got close enough to the door his mom spoke "Wait you can go on one condition,"

He stopped and groaned quietly and muttered "So close.." He turned around "And that one condition is?"

His mom gave a small smile "You can go as long as you take your sister with you,"

His jaw nearly dropped to the floor in shock "What!?!?" He almost yelled looking at his sister Amber Who had a smile that was bigger than a Gengar's.

His mom just smiled as his dad tried not to laugh at his reaction. Amber quickly ran towards him and pulled him into a hug "I get to go with you!!! This will be so much fun!"

He rolled his eyes "Amber you know I love you like a sister-"

She cut him off "Yea yea I know if I don't let you go You'll have princess freeze me and dump me in the ocean..." She started off sarcastically "BUTTTTT you and I both know you won't cause you care about me too much,"

He let out a slight growl "Don't try me,"

Bri rolled her eyes and let him go "Let's go!" She said pushing him out the door towards Professor Kukui's house "I want to get my starter!"

He sighed and walked faster heading to kukui's house, after a few minutes they made it to Kukui's house and heard banging and yelling,

"COME ON ROCKRUFF MY BODY IS READY!"

Sam quickly covered Amber's ear's 'She cannot hear that,' he thought to himself

Amber move his hands away and walked inside "Professor?" She asked watching rockruff attacking him with rock throw. Sam slowly walked in and blinked in surprise "What in the.."

Professor Kukui looked at the toon reen "Oh Sam, amber, Hey I assume you're here to get your Pokemon," They nodded and kukui walked to a room and pulled out 6 Pokeballs and let out the three alolan starters. Sam looked at the three starts 'Litten is a fire type..but his final evolution isn't my preference same with popplio so..' "Professor I'd like to have rowlet please,"

Amber looked at at the three then nodded 'I'd like to have Litten!"

Kukui smiled and handed them both a Pokeball containing a Rowlet, Sam looked at the Pokeball with a smile and thought to himself 'With you and princess I'll make it to the finals in the league and beat the champion os,'
