A week later
*Nook*
I walked alongside Tre and Mari as we walked through Remley High. Tensions have been high in the halls ever since the situation. E-Man was seen earlier and I know he hella paranoid. It was just about LaLa that day. He put a lot of people in danger. We weren't gon do anything yet though. We got time.
LaLa was gon meet us at her locker because we didn't want them to have any contact of any kind. Especially me. Her friend Zoony and Mari been helping her out as far as classes since she had to wear a cast. She was still beautiful though.
I spotted her immediately through the crowd. I admired her outfit. She could probably wear sweats and a T-shirt and still look good. She wore one of my old t-shirts, shorts, and some Sperry's. She smiled when she saw me and I couldn't help biting my lip. She was just so fine. And we been spending a lot more time together. So you know what that means?? I wrapped my arms around her waist as she stood on her tiptoes to kiss me.
" Wassup luh baby?" I greeted kissing her back and placing a small peck on her nose. She giggled. Before she could even answer, Mari came and reached between us to separate us. I mugged him and he stood in front of me.
"Since when I don't get a 'hey' ?" he asked standing over her. She pushed him back with her one good arm and I moved out the way so he wouldn't bump into me.
"I've seen you all day best friend. Now mooovvveee," she whined trying to get to me. I moved around him, grabbing her bookbag. Zoony mugged me. She was still mad at me because I turned her ass down a while back. I mean shorty used to stalk me and I wasn't with that. When I found out she was LaLa's friend I threatened to tell her she was trying to get at me. SHe backed off. Either way Mari and LaLa checked her ass about that anyway. I don't see why they still friends but LaLa keeps her around for something.
We were all still kinda standing there waiting on LaLa to make up her mind about what she was taking home. I put my hand on her hip and stood behind her. I started kissing on her neck and on the side of her face just to make her laugh. I love to hear that shit. I felt Tre tense up and I turned to see E-Man walking down the hall with Rod and Cash. I expected them to start turning at some point but they kept walking towards us. I moved LaLa behind me as Mari and Tre moved to block her. What this nigga want?
~E-Man~
I ain't been able to talk to LaLa since the situation because her lil been friends been guarding her like some watch dogs. She was looking away from me and avoiding my eye contact as I approached. I was already a lil jealous seeing Nook holding on to her like she was his. Mari and Tre eyed me as I walked up but I wasn't there to see them. I stopped in front of them and looked directly at LaLa.
"Laylah," I said pleadingly hoping to catch her eyes. She moved from behind Nook. Her once soft face and demeanor went away and she stood there with stoic features. She looked guarded even. "Can we talk?"
She shook her head not taking a second glance at me. That irritated me. I tried reaching for her but Mari pushed me back. I was getting tired of this so I pushed his ass back. I should've just left it alone in the first place but I can't stay away from her. Consequently I watched how fast this turned.
I felt Mari's fist connect with my face and I punched his ass back. I wasn't a bitch and he wasn't play me like one either. My niggas was with so there wasn't no jumping. Me and Mari was going lick for lick and I ain't gon lie that nigga got some hands. I mean I got some too but he really had my ass but I wasn't gon let him know that. I looked to see Rod holding his own with Tre and this shit was an all out brawl in the middle of the hall. That's when I realized Cash had dipped on us down the other way. That's when Nook got tagged in and went in on my ass with the fast punches. He was basically helping Mari beat my ass. I fought back as much as I could but they had my ass balled up. Luckily my nigga Niko came around the corner to help my ass.
