"Are you that uncomfortable with me?" He has a goofy smile and his eyes are looking straight into mine waiting for a response.

"I mean, not really. Like, this is okay but I am not used to this. I am a little weary."

He smiles at me and says, "So, you are not used to people?"

"Yeah, I guess."

He gives a small laugh and looks at me. "I understand. Do you come here often?"

"Um..." His eyes grew wide and realized my hesitation.

"Oh, I am just trying to make small talk. I am not asking you to later kidnap you."

"Sure... But yeah, I do." He was kind but I did not want to be deceived.

He was about to speak up until a sound from his pocket rang. He picked up his telephone and answered. He quickly glances over to me but I turn my head quickly to prove I was minding my own business.

"Well, I have to go. Thanks for letting me listen. Maybe I see you again." He smiles while he gets up from the floor.

Yeah, right.

"Bye..." I looked up as he lingered.

"This is the part where you say your name." He chuckles.

I look up to him with a scowl on my face.

"No."

•••••

It was the next day. It was just like everyday. I woke up, I changed, I left.

I walk into the store and make my way to the back as usual. But this time, someone was occupying it.

My face turned a slight shade of red. I was very very shy. Yesterday, my encounter with that boy was because I had thought I would not see him again. I was trying to get him off my back but now, he is here again.

In my spot.

I step over his long legs and make my way to the corner. I sit down without looking at him as he hands me a cup.

"Wha-What is that?" I stutter very nervous.

"It is coffee, love. I figured you can let me listen with you again so I bought you coffee." He smiles as he nudges the coffee towards me.

"How do I know you didn't drug this?" I ask nervously.

"Yeah, you make a good point." He looks down with a questionable look on his face. "But I guess you could take my word for it."

I stare blankly at him. He sighs and drinks from his coffee. The he takes the lid off mine and gulped some of it down.

"See? I am fine. You should be too! Plus, if the 'drugs' start to kick in, then I would be totally fucked to take you out of here."

I chuckle and slowly grasp my cup. I take a small sip and a moan slips from my lips.

This coffee is damn good.

"It is good right? Best coffee I ever had!" He says enthusiastically. I nod in agreement.

I hear footsteps come closer to us and look up to see Tom with a disc player and some CDs.

"Emma, this one is in decent shape, I guess. But if it pauses or makes weird sound just bop it or give it a shake." He places it down next to me with some CDs. "And these are some CDs but the artwork is not in any of these making them invaluable meaning you can listen to them. I wrote the album name and artist with a sharpie on the back." He drops them by me.

He looks up to me and then Harry and his eyes widen.

"Oh sorry, sir. Is she giving you trouble- Emma what did I say about bothering customers, especially valuable ones." He pressed. I looked up at him confused.

"I didn't bother him he just-"

"Actually, I bothered her. I listened to some old stuff that was no longer on the shelf." Harry had cut in and flashed Tom a smile.

Tom looked nervous and said, "Oh, I am so sorry. Please no need to listen to the scratched ones. I have more in the back."

Tom was about to turn around and rush to the back when Harry spoke. "No need. I enjoy her company. But thank you."

Tom smiles and walks away quickly.

"So your name is Emma. Pretty." He smiles.

I look down and blush. I pick up the CD player and plug it in to the wall. I pick up the discs and examine them.

"So tell me about yourself." Harry says. I laugh to myself. My face turns red. I shake my head lightly at him.

"Okay the, what is the deal with the back corner and an employee handing you crappy stuff. Why don't you listen to the good stuff?" I sigh.

"I come in everyday. I have nothing to do. Tom says if I am going to come in everyday and not buy anything, then I can not use the stuff. So we made a deal. I can come in everyday as long as I don't bother the customers or touch the nice stuff." I say quietly.

"Tom must have a real stick up his ass." He whispers.

"No, I mean his father runs this place and he has a stick up his ass. But, Tom is chill and he can be quite nice sometimes."

Harry looks down at the floor for a bit before looking at me. He stared at me for quite a while before he smiles.

"So what are we gonna listen to, love?"

I sigh. Harry is really nice to me but I don't get why. I shouldn't ask but part of me just can't help it. Although, I am afraid the nice conversations and gestures would stop but it just all seems sketchy to me.

"Harry, wh-why are you talking to me?" He looks down at me and gives me a questioningly look.

"What do you mean?"

I give him a knowing look as in:

You know what the fuck I mean, stupid.

"I am pretty sure you have other things to do than sit here with me. Especially waste your money and buy me coffee."

He sighs and says, "Well, I am not here for too long. So I usually hang around this town since it is pretty quiet. I really enjoy music as well. I have no friends around here so I was maybe hoping to talk you up to go to lunch and you know, befriend you." He smiles.

"Oh. I am really not the type of 'friend' person you may be looking for. I don't talk much. You will be pretty disappointed in befriending me."

"Well love, that is up to me to decide." He says.

I sigh and ask, "You said you are not here for too long. What does that mean?"

"I travel quite alot for work. So, I am here for a while. I need a friend from here to show me around and hang around with. Which would be you."

"But you are not traveling alone."

"How do you know?"

"Because you phone keeps lighting you with messages from your friends asking where you are and to meet back at the hotel. Not to mention, that Neil guy has quite a mouth on him."

"Aren't you nosy." He snickers.

"Just observing the person who has been creepily enjoying his time with me for some odd reason."

He laughs and rummages through the CD's. "That's enough from you now, c'mon pick a CD."

I give a shy smile and pick up a random disc. As I open the cover, I hear Harry chuckle and say, "This should be good."

I read the CD with the sharpie writing.
