Aurora steps out of her house and sees Jasper walking out of the woods, she smiles and speeds up to him pushing him up against a tree. "I was just about to go to your house, I thought you forgot" Aurora says, Jasper smiles and pushes her up another tree. "If you're involved then I could never forget." Jasper says. Aurora then sees a bag in his hand "What's that" She asks pointing towards the bag "The reason I was late," Jasper leans in a kissed her slowly. Jasper pulls away and using his free hand he grabs her hand and the two of them walk towards her house.

"Oh before I forget thank you for taking me to my very first prom." Jasper smiles and brings her and up to kiss it. "I am glad that I was able to take you" Jasper says they walk into the house and into her living room. They sit down and Jasper pulls the bag down on the table "Now please tell me what's in that bag" Jasper laughs and kisses her forehead. Jasper opens the bag and pulls ICE CREAM, "Here" Jasper says handing her the ice cream "and don't get mad but I didn't have time to get the pizza so I got this " He pulled out a can of monster and chips. "I know how much you love monster so here" He handed her the drink. Aurora puts down the chips, and drink and the speeded to the kitchen and puts the ice cream away and then speeds back to Jasper bear hugs him. "You are gonna get very lucky tonight." Jasper just kisses her and says "I hope"

Aurora lets Jasper go and picks up the monster and takes a big sip "When I was created it was during the Civil War, I was in the confederate army " Jasper rolls up his sleeves "I was the youngest Major in the Texas cavalry." Jasper says and shows Aurora his arms, she looks down and sees his arms covered in half moon shaped hearts scars.

"What happened, were you attacked by vampires or something before you turned?" Aurora asks.

"Battle scars. All the training in the Confederate Army gave me was useless against newborns. Still I never lost a fight" Jasper says.

"It sounds like you accomplished a lot in your human life. Being the youngest Major sounds like a large accomplishment."

"It was but I have not seen any real combat. Until one night I met a certain immortal.."

1863

It was dark out and Major Jasper rode on his horse back to Galveston after evacuating a column of women and children when he saw three women in frayed dresses but barefoot he slows down his horse being overwhelmed by their beauty and offer them his assistance. "What is your name Soldier?" The lady in the middle asked.

"Major Jasper Whitlock Ma'am" He answers, the woman walks closer to him. "I hope you survive you'd be an excellent addition." She says and grabs his face before biting into his neck.

Present

Aurora sees the pain flash into his eyes. "Maria, that was her name. She was creating an army."

"Of newborns" She asked, Jasper nods his head.

"I became her second in command, back then armies were common in the south. There were consent brutal battles for territory and Maria won them all, she was smart and careful and she had me. My ability to control emotions severed her well.."

1865

Jasper was training a group of Newborns to defend and attack, his eyes were red and his eyes were red and his face was cold and hard, showing no emotion until his eyes crossed a young boy, on older then 15, Maria appears behind Jasper as a stronger Newborn easily pins the young boy to the ground defeating him, Maria pulls Jasper into a kiss before whispering in his ear. "Dispose of him he's weak" Maria whispers, the two vampires look towards the boy as the old barn cleared, the boy obviously looked up to Jasper obviously felt like a guardian to the boy to the boy, as night fell arrived Jasper approaches the boy, the boy looks up at Jasper and smiles at his mentor, the boy then stood up from the ground and the two vampires look up at the sky, Jasper looks at the boy before throwing an arm around his throat in a choke hold and in a almost embrace.
