The Dream

'Oh, god. huh. huh.' murmured Angelene. She woke up with a force and sweat was all over her forehead. Probably she saw a nightmare. She drank some water from the glass which rested on the side table. 

'Oh my goodness. What a nightmare it was.! I think aunt is home, but why didn't she wake me up?. Nevermind. said Angelene. She went downstairs just to see, Adriane and Rebecca were having a laugh. There were snacks and coffee on the table. She went a little near them and noticed that there were her notes. 'He completed them in such little time?' murmured Angelene to herself. 

She was afraid to go down, but she went. 'Hey, Adriane. Good evening aunt.' said angelene. Her hair untidy, It feels like she slept for ages and she just woke up. 'Hey, Angelene, Good evening. You've been sleeping so blissfully so I decided not to disturb you, Let me bring you some coffee, come sit.'said Rebecca. 

'Ya, thankyou.' said angelene. All this time Angelene and Adriane was staring each other. Deep into each others eyes, from across the room. 'Hey, Angelene.' said Adriane. 'He-y..Hey Adriane. How come here?' said Angelene.

From the kitchen came Rebecca's voice, 'He is leaving for a tournament today, so he came to return your notes sweety.' 'Oh, cool, Good luck, Adriane, I hope you win...I mean you guys win' said Angelene. 'Thanks.' said Adriane. A different type of silence filled the room.

They had lots to say but it looked like somebody stole their words. They both just stood there, untill rebecca asked both of them to sit. Rebecca brought coffee for angelene. 'Here, take your coffee sweety. Adriane, You didnt even took a sip of your coffee. Why? You didnt like it?' said Rebecca.

'No, no its not like that aunt.' said adriane. 'Then how it is like'? asked Rebecca in a very playful way. Rebecca saw the light between Angelene and Adriane lighting up. She saw how they stare each other and couldnt see anyting else, beside each other. 

'The coffee was really good, Thankyou, Aunt Rebecca for having me. Ok i gotta go, its getting late. I have to catchup a flight at 7 and its already 5. Bye. Bye Angelene.' said Adriane.'Bye adriane, Hope to meet you soon'.said Rebecca. 'Ya, bye adriane, happy journey.' said Angelene. 

Adriane left, Angelene was feeling a little sad, may be because Adriane was going. She thought of reading, which will help her enlighten her mood. She finished her coffee, hugged her aunt and said 'I am going upstairs, I should read something. Call me when the dinner is ready. Love you.' She kissed her aunt's forehead and went upstairs. 

She went near her study table, which rests beside the window, It was breezy outside and she wanted some fresh air. She went near the window just to see Adriane standing there, smoking. She was shocked. She never thought that he smokes. She got a little more disturbed by this, as she was a very simple girl and this all was not normal for her.

She closed the window and laid at her bed. She just couldnt stop thinking about Adriane and his smoking habits. She was about to get up and then came a voice,' Sweetheart, if you are done with reading, please come down. I need your help.' It was Rebecca's voice. It was more of an order than a request. Angelene went down. Her aunt was gardening, her hands were in mud. Rebecca said 'Please pass me the tools'. 'Where are they'? Angelene asked. 

'Oh they are beside the main door.' Rebecca said. Angelene went near the main door of their house and to her surprise, Adriane was still there, smoking. He saw her, immediately threw his cigarette and waved at Angelene. She ignored him. She didnt liked that he was smoking. She picked up the tools and went to help her aunt. 

Adriane, Confused and sad, left. All the way through his house, he just thought about it. Why she didn't waved back at me? Is she mad at me for something? Thinking and thinking till he reached his home. He waved at his friends and went inside. Laid on the bed, thinking and fell asleep. 

Aunt Rebecca saw both of them from behind the bush, she was confused too. She had no clue why Angelene did this to him. 'Adriane had a flight to catch! What he was doing here?' Rebecca murmured to herself. Soon she was aware of the lie that Adriane said to both of the ladies, just to meet Angelene. The same question went in Angelene's mind and she was smart enough too, to know the reality behind his lie. Angelene smiled, but still hurt.

'Sweety, The dinner is ready.' said rebecca. Angelene came downstairs. She was upset, she ate a little and went upstairs. She recalled whatever happened in the day. She was pretty sure that Adriane is interested in her, but she decided to not give this even a thought. She slept. 

Rebecca came upstairs to see Angelene. She was sleeping. She turned the lights off and went. Angelene again had the same dream she had in the eve. She woke up with a force, sweating, her heart beats beating so loud, she can feel them in her ears. 

She couldn't sleep that night. She tried time and again, but was unable to even take a nap. She decided to write the dream in her diary.

Dear diary,

I am scared. Somebody comes everyday in my dreams. A young man, Strong build up, pretty hair, His boots on, riding on a horse. He doesn't look like a Charming Prince, but somebody very dangerous. He tries to kill me, I've seen in my dreams, He takes me to a deserted place, lonely where you cant even spot a bird and puts fire around me. Who is he, I dont know. Its a nightmare. He is a nightmare.!

She kept her diary in the drawer and laid on her bed, tried to sleep but couldn't. Thinking about the dream time and again, she falls for a nap.
