~Crystal's P.O.V~
Dream: "Come on sweetheart. I want to show you something," my father said grabbing on to my hand. I was 12 and it was a day after my birthday. It was also a few days after my mothers death. People don't know that my parents didn't die at the same time. My mom did die in a car crash. But I think this was the day my father died. "Where are we going daddy?" I asked looking up and smiling at him. Then I saw a huge waterfall. "Wow daddy this place is beautiful. I love it, "I said as my smile widened. "Crystal, I want to talk to you about something. Your mother was killed by something... something not human. Something not like us. They're not normal, and very evil. They want us dead," he said sitting down. I sat down next to him, "daddy why do they want us dead?" "I don't know why sweetie, but I want you to have this." He handed me my crystal stone, "it'll keep you safe from them." "Shouldn't I be the one giving you gifts since it is your birthday," I said kissing him on the cheek. "Come on sweetheart let's get home," he said standing up. Then claws went through his stomach. "Daddy!" I screamed as the thing that was clawing my father threw him to a tree. The thing came towards me but stopped. My crystal glowed and the thing hissed at me. "You are a very lucky girl. But your not the only one of your kind. I'll see you later." It said as I stood up. I tried to run but tripped on a stick and dropped my stone. The thing laughed at my clumsiness and pounced on me....
End of dream
"Crystal wake up," I heard Derek say. My open my eyes to see Derek looking at me worried. "Derek. It killed my dad and it's gonna kill me," I whispered as a single tear rolled down my cheek. Derek pulled me into his arms, "I got you it's ok. I'm here, nothing's going to hurt you I promise." He said rocking me back in forth as I cried.
