The dragon ran, faster and faster at the humans chased her with there swords. Her heart was beating fast as she clutched her left side where the ropes had tightened on her the most and ran. Glancing back she saw they had bows and arrows to, she quickly dodged an arrow and fell into the bushes. When she tried standing up a foot stomped on her chest and pushed her down. The dragon couldn't run anymore. A man grabbed her by the throat and another one held a sword to her chest. She opened her mouth and a dark shadow ball appeared. Shooting it into the sky it fell down and hit the men killing them. Some blood was stained on the dragon's white hair and oversized black t-shirt. After that she fell to her knees and clutched her side, tears forming in her bright yellow eyes, but she refused to cry. Before she came to this world called 'Earth' her father told her to Stay Strong, and she planned to. Standing up, her knees buckled and she fell again. She reached for a strong stick and used it as a cane to walk. She passed by some trees and felt a pair eyes on her. When she whipped her head around nothing was there and she decided it was just paranoia. She heard a cracking noise and turned around seeing a broken branch that was fine before she passed it. Picking up the pace from slight fear she felt she dropped the cane and ran.
'Be strong' was one of the only phrases she remembered from home, she remembered one from each friend, she could remember there names but not her own. Witn a sigh she allowed herself to slow down as they walked plently far already. Not hearing nor seeing anything she layed down and shut her eyes falling into a deep sleep.
"Wake up." The young dragon heard a soft woman's voice. She slowly opened her eyes and looked around the room she was in. It looked like a young boy's room with all the action figures and trains. "Hello sweetie, i'm glad your awake... my children found you asleep in a bush and called me so I took you here." The woman explained softly. A girl about the dragon's height but a little taller then the dragon with soft smooth brown hair and the most brown eyes ever stood behind her beside a young blonde boy with bright blue eyes that looked about 6. "Is she awake mommy?" Spoke the young boy. "Yes Uto, she's awake..." Uto's mother spoke kindly. The dragon studied the mother's features, she had brown hair in a neat bun and red framed glassed, she had the same eyes as Uto's. "What's your name?" The girl demanded. Her voice wasn't nesrly as kind as her mother's voice but she saw the concern in her eyes. The dragon knew she had to say something and fast. "A-Amai." She stuttered. The name just came to her and she decided to go with it. Amai, Amai. 'It has a nice ring to it.' Amai thought. "I'm Mio... nice to meet you I guess..." the stubborn girl muttered and stuck out her hand. Amai shook it, when they stopped the older woman spoke. "Well, i'm Mio and Uko's mother, my name is Maria. Do you have a home young one?" Maria asked. Amai shook her head no. It was true, she was homeless. "Oh my, well you can room with Mio for now, if you'd like." Marisa offered kindly. Mio blushed somewhat angrily and embarrassed. "Sure..." Amai replied and Mio smiled , mouth twitching angrily. "I'll make you some tea, Mio, show Amai to your room." Maria ordered softly and Mio walked upstairs angrily followed by Amai. They entered a large room painted with pink walls and a dark brown carpet. There were stuffed animals lining the bed and a TV across from the bed with many anime disks by it and some videogames. "I'll pull out a mattress..." Mio sighed thinking Amai wouldn't help. "I got it..." Amai mumbled and easily pulled out the mattress with one hand. Mio was shocked at the girl's strength. "Ok then, now let's get you some better clothes... I have some smaller stuff that should fit you, how old are you anyways?" Mio asked as she searched her closet. Amai was about 114 but didn't want to say that. "14..." she lied. "Me to... ah, here we are!" Mio exclaimed and pulled out a purple t-shirt and some blue sweats handing them to Amai. Amai slipped the pants on the took off her shirt, pullibg the other one over her head. Mio blushed when she did that then looked at her shirt when she picked it up to put it in the laundry. "I-Is this blood?" Mio asked frightened then looked at Amai's blood stained hair. Amai stared at the ground and nodded. "What happened?" Mio asked realized the scars she had on her arms and face. She immediately regretted her question as Amai started to cry. "Y-You don't have to say it if you don't want to!" She stammered and Amai nodded. She had been whipped and lashed in the face by humans. She glanced at the calender on Mio's wall. August 19th 1981. "What city is this?" Amai asked unknowingly. Mio was about to make a sassy retort but didn't and gave a straightforward answer. "Tokyo, Japan." She said quickly. "Now come here..." she muttered and patted the bed. Amai sat down where she patted and was facing a mirror. She was a mess; blood stained hair, dirt smudges all over her face. Mio grabbed a brush and a water basin with two face cloths and started washing Amai's hair with one cloth and brushing it out. She knelt in front of Amai and started washing her face. "There we go!" Mio exclaimed when she finished. They went downstairs. "Just in time for tea! Oh, I see you git all washed up Amai... Mind telling us how you're homeless?" Maria asked when everyone sat down except Uko who was in bed. "...I'd rather not say..." Amai muttered darkly and Maria nodded understanding it was a hard subject.
They finished there tea and went upstairs to Mio's room. "Let's go to slesp, it's late and you look tired, so am I." Mio said and got into her pajamas, she lent Amai some smaller pajamas and blushed again when she changed.
Mio fell asleep quickly and so did Amai.
