Chapter two

We all talked about different things I guess they realised I wasn't ready to talk about what
happened my mother was yawning I told her to go to her hotel and sleep she looked like she
was to scared to leave me alone Officer Aslinn offered to stay with me as from now I was under
police protection until they caught the person that did this, both my parents looked more than
relieved at this statement.
My parents kissed me goodbye said thanks to officer T and left.
He was looking at me like he wanted to say something but looked away when I looked at him
I slowly lowered my feet out of bed he was by my side in a second.
What are you doing?
I need to use the ladies room.
He smiled and helped me into the bathroom he turned to leave and said
when your done call me I'll help you back to bed.
He smiled and closed the door behind him I looked in the mirror my eyes were bruised
like I'd been in a fight I laughed what a mess I was in, I washed my face and called for T
when no one came I tried to get to the door myself but couldn't quite make it I fell and knocked
off the soap dish T came running in
Why didn't you call me? He said scooping me up in his arms
I did, I said I guess it mustn't have been loud enough, I'm sorry
He looked into my eyes and kissed me.
His lips were gentle he tasted like a summers day fresh and delightful he moved his tongue
against my lips it made me gasp that's what he wanted he slid his tongue into my mouth and
I moaned this seems to make him want it more he kissed me with more urgency than I've ever
known Next thing I knew we were both lay on the bed he was holding me stroking my hair looking
into my eyes and smiling.
Do you know how long I've waited for someone like you to come into my life?
His face went all serious then said
I am in your life right?
I chuckled what you think I kiss just anyone?
He laugh and with a wicked grin said
I'm going to take you in to protective custody until we catch the monster that did this ok.
Monster? I questioned

Yes, I guess your right I realised he got a little to close to the truth with that comment I needed to relax.
He told me he call my parents and let them know what he was doing and although they
couldn't know where we would be I can ring them everyday or as often as I wanted to
When he'd spoke to my parents he told me they had packed a small case for me and once the doc had
discharged me into his care we would leave he had organised a doctor to visit weekly and nurse to visit me daily.
The doctor discharged me with numerous instructions on wound care and off we went T pushed me
in a wheel chair to the door where a nurse and a security guard waited for T to get back with the car
He pulled up in a new Mercedes convertible black on black, He picked me up from the wheel chair and
carried me to the car before buckling me up I laughed and said I think I can manage the little things he
smiled but said nothing.
We drove for hours I was getting very tired when T said go to sleep huni you look exhausted so I did I
didn't wake when we stopped or when T lifted me out of the car I did however wake when he opened
the door I put my arms around T's neck and snuggled closer to him.
He carried me through an archway I must still be really tired because it looked like we just walked through
a mirror I must have gone into a deep sleep because when I woke I was in a large stone room with a
roaring open fire it looked like a medieval castle I giggled as I looked down at the bed and saw a fur blanket.
Good evening sleepy head, T said smiling at me
Hi T what time is it? Has the doctor been yet?
It's 6:45pm and yes the doctor has been he's sensing a nurse over daily to see to your dressing
he will stop by next week But he said your doing well seems that your scares are healing well.
That's good I'd have like to have seen him though what must he think of me sleeping through his visit.
He's probably thinking what a lucky girl you've been and your doing the right thing getting your rest.
Yes maybe, so where are we anyway I giggled this looks like a castle.
Well huni it is, this is part of my family's estate.
I could feel my mouth drop I didn't know what to say for a few minutes.
You brought me to your family's home?
Well no I brought you to my home, it's just one of the many homes that are in my family I happen to
own this one.
How does a policeman afford this?
I'm sorry that's none of my business.
He laughed that's ok it was left to me by my grandfather I didn't buy it.

Thanks I'm glad you like it because according to the doctor we're going to be here for a couple
of months. he smiled
Oh is this ok, with your boss I mean I know you said safe house but I don't want you getting
into trouble because of me

Listen I don't know if you'd want to but I got a wheel chair here for you if you'd like to go for a walk in
the garden before dinner I could take you some fresh air might do you good?
Yes that sounds very agreeable, thank you
And that's how it was for eight wonderful weeks the doctor came to see me every week as
promised I had three nurses two were the kindest people I've ever met one was a complete bitch,
she took every opportunity to insult me and piss me off I don't know what her problem is but if it
carries on I'm asking T to get rid of her I don't need a nurse anyway.
