Chapter 1: Home Sweet Home

"Do you have to leave?" Felicity asked my for the one hundredth time. "Felicity you know that have to go back. I love it here in Starling but Central City is my home." I say. "Last warning for the train to Central City." The over head voice says. "That's your cue. Remember to visit, okay?" Oliver says giving me a hug. I know right Oliver Queen hugging somebody. You better take a picture. Hahaha. "I promise. Bye Ollie" I say returning the hug. I pull out of the hug and hug Felicity, then I hugged my other friend Roy. "Call me as soon as you get to Central City." Felicity says hugging me again. "I will. Bye guys." I shout at them boarding my train.

"Attention passengers, Welcome To Central City. Please take all of your belongings when exiting the train. Have a nice day." The over head voice says. I step off the train with all of my luggage and text Felicity.

I made it to Central and I miss you already. Say Hi to every one for me 💋💘💖

From: Olivia

After texting Fel. I call a cab and wait 10 minutes for one to show up.

To: Olivia

I miss you to. Everyone says hi and to call soon. Have fun. 😘💋💜

From: Felicity

I tell the cab driver my address and it takes about 15 minutes for him to drive there. "Have a nice day miss." The cab driver says pulling out of my driveway after I pay him. I walk into my house and I love it. . Pool. (I bought the house with the money that my parents left me when they died and I barely made a dent but I like making my own money so I don't use it very often). After I get everything unpacked I head down to The CCPD Central City Police Department because that's where i'm going to be working as a forensic scientist. I will be partners with Barry and i'm super excited to be working with Barry. And to make it even better he has no idea that i'm his new partner. I can't wait to see his face when he see's me. I walk in the CCPD building and walk up to the front desk. "How may I help you miss?" The lady at the front desk asks me. "Can you tell me where the Lab is?" I ask because I haven't been in this building in over 7 years. "It's just up the stair over there." She says pointing to some stairs. "Thank you." I say before walking up to the lab. I hope Barry is in there. When I got to the top of the stairs I see Iris walk into the Lab. Yes now I can surprise Barry and Iris. I stop walking right by the entrance so they can't see just yet. "Okay, I am ready to see this atom smasher.... smashing." Iris trailed off as Barry chuckles. "There was a shooting today. Your dad needs me to process some evidence. Which means I don't know if we're gonna make it to S.T.A.R. Labs." Barry says sadly. "But this thing is like you dream." Iris says but before she can say anything else I lean up against the doorway so they can see and say, "Yeah it's like your sad little nerdy dream." I say smiling. Barry stares at me in disbelief and Iris has the hugest smile I have ever seen forming on her face. "I'm Home!" I say holding out my arms. "Olivia!" Iris squeals running up and giving me the world's biggest hug. "Hey Iris." I say hugging her back. She pulls out of the hug first and I walk over to Barry holding my hand out to shake. "Hi, i'm Olivia Sampson and i'm your new partner." I say looking at Barry trying my hardest not to laugh. Instead of shaking my hand Barry hugs me. "I missed you Bar." "I missed you to Liv." I look over to Iris and she has this smile on her face looking at me and Barry hugging. She's been trying to get me and Barry together for years. When I pull out of the hug I walk over to Barry's desk and steal one of his fries. "Hands off my fries. You've been back for all of 5 minutes and you're already stealing my food." Barry grabs his fries and walks toward Iris but I can see the smile on his face. "Hey I'm hungry I haven't eaten since 6 this morning." I say chasing after him. I start laughing when Iris takes one of his fries also. "You to? Unbelievable." Barry says. "I'm stress eating over my dissertation. We started selling cronuts today at Jitters. I ate two today. If I don't graduate soon i'm going to be more muffin top than women." She says. "Cronuts!? I want some i'm starving!" I say excitedly. Cronuts sound really good. "Correction we'll both be more muffin top than women." Iris says gesturing to both of us. "Pfft. You both look amazing." Barry says looking at me. Iris just smile and I look down to hide the blush forming on my face.

"So what's so important about this particle accelerator anyway?" Iris asks picking up a magazine with Harrison Wells face on it off of Barry desk. I just look at her dumbfounded. "Harrison Wells's work in quantum theory is light years away from anything they are doing at C.E.R.N" Barry says trying to explain. "You're doing that thing where you're not speaking English." Iris tells him. Barry and I sigh. I walk over to the white board that Barry has and grab a marker. "Okay." I say drawing a small dot in the middle of the board. "Imagine, that dot is everything the human race has ever learned until this moment." I say. "Does that include twerking?' Iris asked jokingly. I just roll my eyes with a smile. Man how i've missed her. Barry walks over and takes the marker from me. And draws a bigger circle around my dot. "That is everything that we can learn from the particle accelerator. It's a whole new way of looking at physics. It will literally change the way we look at everything." He finishes. "You've got to get yourself a girlfriend. And Liv you have to get a boyfriend." I see Barry look at me in the corner of my eye but I don't think anything of it because Joe walks in. "Hey leave them alone. He's working and she just got back." He says. "Hi dad." Iris says. "Hi Joe." I say walking over to give him a hug. Joe has been like a second father to me. "Nice to have you back Olivia." He says hugging me back. Before I can say anything a ding goes off. "Your test thingy is done." Iris says and I just roll my eyes and run over to Barry to peer over his shoulder and see the results. "I think the Mardon brothers are hiding on a farm," Barry informs Joe. "The fecal matter I found on the street, it was cow manure, which contained traces of acitretin syclean," Both Joe and Iris look lost si I decide to help them. "It's an antibiotic." Barry nods and continues. "Only four farms in the area still use it in their fields." A copy of the farms locations prints and Barry hands it to Joe. "Bet you'll find a pretty sweet Shelby at one of those farms." Barry has that cocky, yet adorable smirk on his face. Okay so I have a little rush on Barry. No big deal. I just don't want anything to happen to our friend ship so I don't tell him. I haven't even told Iris but I did tell Fel because she knows who Barry is. Barry went to Starling and meet Fel and Ollie but I made it so he didn't see me when he was there because I didn't want him to know I was living in Starling. Iris pats her dad's shoulder. "Dad, seeing that Barry has solved your poop problem how about letting us go to S.T.A.R Labs?" She asks and me and Barry look at him with pleading eyes. Joe takes his sweet time to answer but he finally does with a smile. "Fine" We all smile at him. Barry grabs his coat, Iris kisses Joe on the cheek and I give him a hug. "Bye Joe." I say before walking out following behind Iris and Barry.
