CHAPTER 1

Present Day

Maddie was up next, she checked herself in the mirror, she looked good, she wore a simple black tasseled skirt that barely covered her ass, A matching bralette top. "Are you ready?" Toby her partner asked.

"Yeah." She was little nervous, it was a sexy dance with a lot of lifts and turns. She never liked partner work too much but Toby was very attentive as a partner. Not to mention sexy as hell. He had blond hair and dark eyes.

"Don't hesitate on the lifts okay?" She nodded. Checking herself in the mirror one last time before she headed to the stage. Her lashes looked great and her hair was tied high in a neat ponytail. She had glitter eye makeup atop the charcoal she wore. Her blood red lipstick added the look, it was stage make up, Maddie never wore it around. "Let's go."

As they were introduced Toby grabbed her hand and spun her around the stage. They got into their position where her back was on his chest and her left arm around his neck. As the lights dimmed and the spotlight shone on them Maddie waited for the impact of the Evanescence song to come on.

It was a contemporary dark routine, he was stroking her arm and holding her close before spinning her away and lifting her up, twirling her, he threw her on the floor and she crawled back grabbing his leg. The dance was a favorite of the crowd, although men were getting lap dances their eyes were solely on her. Maddie looked into the crowd as Toby dropped her on the floor in a split before he lifted her up under her arms, he return her onto the floor and she crawled away from him.

As Toby was doing his solo Maddie spied Jonas in the crowd, he was also getting a lap dance but his eyes were on her, he was drinking a scotch and watching her. Shit she was going to lose her timing. Maddie returned her focus and ran into the lift as Toby grabbed her and lifted her high, he turned her around earning cheers and claps from the crowd.

The lights went out. Maddie heard screams and cheers. The applause they received was deafening. When the lights were on again Toby grabbed Maddie and spun her around as they bowed to the audience.

Again they bowed before they headed off the stage. Maddie was so glad it was over, she hugged Toby and kissed him on his cheek. "Thank god that went well." She said smiling and hurrying into the dressing room. After her performance on the Friday and Saturday nights Maddie would wait for Timmy to come and tell her she was wanted for a lap dance, they would pay a hefty price to have her and every time Maddie would refuse making Timmy lose his head.

"Maddie darl, that was hot." Timmy, like clockwork.

"Thanks Timmy and before you start, no"

"This one is different Maddie, he's offering five thousand dollars for an hour with you. Just a dance." Maddie shook her head.

"No."

"Maddie, I know you need the money, it's five thousand dollars, I'll take a grand and you take the rest. One hour for a private dance. You don't have to touch him. I've given him the run down. You need the money." Maddie drew in a breathe, she did need the money but this was the last thing she wanted to do.

"Timmy, I don't like it..." She whined.

"Maddie, a private dance, pretend you are dancing alone." He urged her.

"Fine, no touching, I swear if he touches me I'll hurt him and you won't get a dime." She said meaning it.

"Okay deal. Room three, in about ten." Maddie rolled her eyes. She freshened herself up quickly, really she hated this but in truth if she didn't do this she would be in trouble, she was so low on money it was a nightmare. She refused to take any money from her sister Christina.
