Chapter Thirteen : Turn of Events Pt. Two
Third Person's Point of View
Michonne was surrounded. Dozens of Walkers appeared in her line of sight every time she turned her head. The crowd grew wild about the fact that the woman was completely weaponless. They were getting the show they thought they deserved. The Governor sat down in his seat as if it was a throne, smiling at Michonne whilst she struggled in the straight coat. She was on the ground, desperately trying to get up but the Walkers continuously kept piling on top of each other on her torso. One nearly got a bite out of her cheek but she pushed him away. One Walker down, a dozen more to go. A new one replaced the other one, taking its spot on Michonne's stomach. At one point, Michonne just wanted to relax and let herself go, freely letting the Walkers get a taste of her sweaty flesh and as she was about to give into her temptation, a gun shot sounded off. A few more followed with every single bullet aimed at a Walker that had fell on top of Michonne.
The crowd's gaze turned towards the entrance of the ring. There, standing proudly with a pistol in her hands, was Andrea. She was always a sharp-shooter ever since Shane taught her back at the farm.
Michonne finally let her arched back release, falling onto the ground with exasperation. She tried to catch her breath. The crowd complained and whined about the boring show and about how they wanted to see someone slaughtered for once. Who knew that the world can change all of these - once - innocent people? The Governor bolted up and stomped down the stairs, all up in Andrea's face. Andrea, compared to him, was more furious than the pale gentleman. She had a fire in her eyes that couldn't be tamed or shut out and she used this as her weapon. Placing the gun inside the belt loop of her jeans, she was more than ready to settle an argument.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" The Governor hissed at her. "I should be asking you the same question." Andrea started off slow, saving her rage for later on. She loved the man, of course, but sometimes, a woman needs to stick up for herself.
"I'm giving Woodbury a show, that's what I'm doing." The Governor responded to her command.
"And I'm taking that show away from Woodbury." Andrea spat at him, getting out her gun and pointing it to the midnight sky, shooting several times to quiet down the crowd. This caught Michonne's attention as well; she widened her eyes.
"Andrea, I told you to stay in the room."
"You promised you would never do anything like this again." She calmed herself down so she wouldn't lunge at him.
"Her group sneaked into our community and stole our food. She's an enemy." The Governor turned down his voice so that the others won't hear him.
"She is not an enemy!" Andrea exclaimed, letting every single soul hear her. Everyone looked at her once more, causing the Governor's anger to come out. "None of them are our enemies! We have more than enough supplies for ourselves already so it wouldn't fucking hurt to give some to them after everything they've been through."
"This isn't some God damn charity. We don't collect donations and give them to sons of bitches like them." The Governor growled.
"Don't you dare call them that. They are my friends and they're scavenging for food. If you don't let me help them, I swear to God I will leave Woodbury with no regrets in my hands."
This was certainly a threat to the Governor. He loved Andrea with all his heart and he didn't want to let her go. They were scavenging for food and they need help - but that doesn't mean that the Governor will be the one to help them. He searched for any signs of Andrea bluffing but there were none; she was completely serious. Turning his head to Michonne's directon, he ordered, "Lock her up."
