Chapter 6- Moment Like This

•The Next Day•

"...Kwis! Kwis! Wakey Wakey!" I heard Logan's baby voice boom into my ear. "What?" I groaned my face still in my pillow. "It's your first school day and you have too make me breakie." He said, bouncing lightly on my bed. I groaned "Why can't Belinda or dad make you breakfast? Why do I gotta do it?" I whined, still not removing my face from my pillow. "Cause I said so." My dads deep voice boomed into my room. "And get up boy before, your late for school." He added as I felt him scoop Logan up and carry him out. I sighed and lifted my head up looking at my digital clock and groaned once more. Today was my first day as a Junior at Greenwood High School😒. I was not looking forward to school, only cause I knew I would get stared at and whispered about as I walked the halls. I got out my bed and walked to the bathroom to get ready.

After I did my hygiene, I got dressed and was just lacing up my converses when I received a message:

"Good Morning Boo😍😘. Have a good day at school today, I'll be thinking about you all day. -Love "Princess Tiana"

I smiled at my Good morning message from Kaylee and replied.

"Good Morning to you too babe. I won't have a good day knowing your at a private school now😔. But I'll try just for you. I'll come and scoop you up after school-Love "Pinhead"

Over the summer, Her parents made her switch out of public school and go to a private school called "Washington Heights " in the hopes of her forgetting about me. My phone buzzed again and I knew it was from her again

"Okay. I'll see you then 😘." -Love "Princess Tiana"

I smiled and put my phone in my pocket as I headed downstairs. Logan was happily munching on his bowel of lucky charms and swinging his little legs. I opened the fridge and pulled out an orange juice "Kwis, When you get out of school, Can we go to the park?" Logan asked me, tilting his head to the side. I smiled "We'll see little dude." I said as I ruffled his hair. "Kris?" I heard my dad call from the living room. I sighed and made my way towards the living room "Yes?" I said as I raised my eyebrow. He put his coffee cup down as he fixed his tie "You know the rules about that car right? No smoking, No drinking or anything in that car you understand?" He asked me as he raised a dark brown eye brow. "I know. I know." I muttered as I stuffed my hands in my pockets. "And don't allow them hoodlums that are your so called friends ride in that car." He added "Understood?" He asked. "Yes sir." I said rolling my eyes. "Good. Now have a good day." He muttered as he walked away from the mirror.

Ever since he smacked me, things have been a little awkward and tense between us. He's been more distant from me.I walked back up into my room to grab a beanie "And Kris?" He called after me. I turned around "Yes?" I asked. "I love you son." He added, "I love you too dad." I said as I turned back around and grabbed my keys and beanie before heading out the door.

•Greenwood High🏨•

It felt different, walking into school without Kaylee next to me. Instead, I had my 4 friends Karloz, Gerald, Jeremy and Christian. We've all been tight ever since 5th grade. The thing is, My dad doesn't seem to have a problem with Gerald and Christian and they are black. "..So, We gonna go see your girl after school today?" Karloz asked me with a smirk. "We? Nah. I'm gonna go see her and you guys can do whatever it is y'all wanna do." I corrected him as we walked to home room. Ironically we are all in the same home room😐. "What y'all gonna do? Smoke? I mean it's not like you've dived in her chocolate pudding yet.." Jeremy spoke earning a high five from Karloz. I sighed "She wants to wait and I have no problem with that. I respect her decision." I said as I plopped down in a seat, adjusting my beanie. Christian scoffed "Yea right. I bet you've been getting some good use out of porn hub haven't you?" He nudged me with his elbow as the rest of them laughed. I mocked their laughter and rolled my eyes "Whatever." I said just as the bell rang and they chuckled.

•After School•

I ran towards her and she ran towards me. I lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around my waist as I spun her around and she giggled. I kissed her softly as she kissed me "I missed you." I said as she cupped my face in her hands. "I missed you too." She said as she kissed me again. "Awww! So sweet." Gerald said wiping away a fake tear from his eyes as I put my love back on her two converses. I rolled my eyes as I took her book bag from her and carried it "Sorry but Gerald and Karloz both decided to tag along." I told her as she giggled "It's fine." She said as we got inside my car. "Finally! Now we can get some food or something! A nicca hungrier then a mug!" Gerald commented as I drove off.

After I drop the 2 goons off at home, Me and Kaylee chilled in my car together at the park. She was now on my lap kissing me softly as I kissed back. She pulled away and rested her forehead on mine as I caressed her cheek with my thumb. "Te amo siempre." I said softly. "Te amo siempre para siempre" She said back and kissed my lips. I wish I could have moments like this forever.
