Welcome to our first contest! This contest is pretty simple, we'll be giving you some prompt options in which you'll write a short story of 1-10,000 words. The prompts will not be written prompts, rather covers that our designers have already made. You will be able to pick one of the cover prompts to use to write your fantasy short story.
Before you see the following cover prompts, please make sure that you're aware of the following rules that come with this contest:
🥀 Your short story must not exceed 10k words. Please try and keep it over 1k words, though.
🥀 You must use the cover prompt as the cover for your short story which must be posted on Wattpad for all to see and read.
🥀 Please title the story with that of the cover (You can change it after the contest ends) and make sure that in the description you make sure people know that you're using a cover prompt. DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THE COVER.
🥀 Only one entry per person.
🥀 You must tag your entry #Contest1FFC
🥀 Make sure that your story actually fits the prompt. Don't just use the cover as a cover thinking it looks cool.
🥀 MAKE SURE that you fill out the form correctly and in a single comment below.
🥀 Make sure that you're following this account.
🥀 Please don't hesitate to tag as many authors that you think would be interested.
🥀 Your short story must be under the FANTASY genre. Come on, that's a given.
To summarize, this contest will be asking you to write a story between 1-10k words based on a cover prompt (Listed below). What will then happen is the Fae Folk Comps team will go through each of the entries and pick the top three books for each cover prompt. Those authors will then receive prizes (Listed in previous chapters). For those of you fairies and wizards who are still a bit confused, here's a quick breakdown:
🥀 You, the author, will pick a cover prompt below and fill out the entry form.
🥀 Once accepted, start writing your story (Ranging from 1,000 words to 10,000 words).
🥀 You'll post your book on Wattpad (Make sure to do this before the deadline).
🥀 You'll tag your entry #Contest1FFC
🥀 Once entries close, judging will begin.
🥀 The top three entries for each cover prompt will receive prizes!

So, those are the cover prompts! As you may have guessed, the ongoing prompt will be a story told from the previously "antagonist's" point of view. Make sure your story fits within that plot.

Make sure that you post your book AFTER you fill out the form and have been accepted. Once we accept you, you MUST post something so we can add your story to a proper reading list. What that means is first fill out the form and wait for us to accept you, THEN post something as simple as an author's note so we have something to add to the reading list.
IF YOU DO NOT POST THE ENTRY BEFORE THE ENTRY, IT WILL NOT BE COUNTED, EVEN IF YOU FILLED OUT THE FORM!!!!
If you don't fill out the form and get accepted, we will not count your entry!
