"Lance, are you home?" Keith asked groggily, walking into their apartment. He had just got home from his early shift at the local coffee shop. He kicked his shoes off and trudged into the living room. "Yeah, I'm in the living room!" Lance called back out.
Keith trudged farther into the living room. "Hi," He said, flopping onto the couch. "How was work?" Lance asked, turning down the TV so he could hear Keith properly.
"I got hit on... I got yelled at by a crazy woman... So, you know, pretty good," Keith replied sarcastically. "How many times have you got hit on this week now, five? I think that's a new record," Lance replied, chuckling.
"Yeah... By girls... Why can't any cute guys go to the shop and drop some cute pickup line on me and slide me his number?" Keith sighed dramatically, flopping around on the couch.
Lance blushed slightly and turned back to the face the TV. "Don't know, maybe they think you're out of their league," Lance said, being his charismatic self. Keith blushed a bit, "Sure. Sure. Out of their league as in, I'm way under their league, and it would be an embarrassment to even talk to me."
"They could just be shy," Lance shrugged, trying to make Keith more confident in himself. "Shyer than me? I don't think so," Keith responded quietly, the blush on his cheeks growing rapidly. "That's just your emo speaking. Come on, cheer up." Lance said, nudging Keith a bit, still trying to hide his blush.
Keith chuckled a bit, smiling faintly. "I'm not that emo." Lance raised an eyebrow at him then looked back at the TV. "Whatever you say, Keith."
Keith giggled. He curled up on the couch, facing Lance, and hugged a pillow.
Lance looked at him. He looks really cute, Lance thought, then blushed and quickly looked back at the TV, his blush growing darker.
Keith looked up at Lance, admiring him for a few moments.
Is he looking at me? S***, I can't tell out of the corner of my eye. I don't want to risk looking at him! Especially when my face probably looks like a tomato! Lance mentally cursed, his face starting to actually look like a tomato.
Keith noticed Lance's dramatic change of shade. "Lance? Are you okay? You look sick. Your face is all red."
Lance mentally cursed, again, and tried to shake it off. "Am I? I don't feel sick," He said, making direct eye contact with Keith so it made it look like he wasn't lying.
Keith reached up to Lance's face, pressing his palm to his forehead. "You don't really feel like you've got a fever..."
"Maybe I'm just too damn hot," Lance said, smirking. Keith giggled, taking his hand away from Lance's forehead and pressing his hands to his mouth, trying, and failing, to stifle his giggling.
Lance blushed again but decided to just keep smirking. "Your laugh is really cute," Lance said, then his face blushed a dark red right after. Did I just say that out loud? He thought.
Keith's face turned dark red. "R-really?" He asked quietly. "U-um, yeah. That what makes me wonder why no guy flirts with you at your work!" Lance said, trying to change the topic slightly so it wouldn't end up with a nosebleed.
Keith blushed more and buried his face in his pillow, trying to conceal the blush. "Th-thanks," He said very quietly. Lance noticed Keith's red face. Is that blush or is he sick too? He thought.
Keith curled up tightly up in a ball, hoping the awkwardness would go away. Lance noticed Keith growing more uncomfortable and looked at the TV. "What do you want to watch? There's lots of movies on right now."
"Um," Keith replied, moving the pillow so he could see the TV. "I like horror... Is there a horror movie on?" He watched as Lance scrolled through the menu.
"Um.. yeah! There's Annabelle, looks like it's just about to start. Also The Conjuring, but that's already half way through, which one do you choose?"
"I don't care," Keith replied, grabbing a gigantic blanket from beside the couch and wrapping both him and Lance in it. Lance blushed slightly. "Alright, well let's watch Annabelle since it's just starting," Lance clicked on Annabelle and adjusted so he was sitting comfortable with the blanket around him.
Keith scooted closer to Lance so he would have plenty blanket space, and be closer to him, but Lance didn't need to know that. Lance did notice the sudden movement and slightly blushed, but didn't mind since he was a scaredy-cat when it came to Horror Movies.
Keith watched quiet and unblinking through the beginning of the movie and looking over to Lance for his reaction. Lance was biting his lip because he had not seen the movie so he never knew when a jump scare was going to pop up, even though it was only a Husband and pregnant Wife about to buy a house on the screen, he was terrified.
Keith had never seen the movie, either, so any jump scare would most likely scare him. "You okay there, Lancey~?" He teased, poking Lance in the ribs.
Lance's cheeks dusted with pink at the sudden nickname Keith had given him. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little paranoid. Especially after all those pranks, Pidge plays on us out of nowhere."
Keith giggled a bit, turning back to the movie, scooting a bit closer to Lance to reassure him, hoping he didn't notice. Although, Lance did notice and stole a quick glance at Keith, blushing.
Keith jumped slightly at the first jumpscare, looking over at Lance to see his reaction. Lance had also jumped and tilted towards Keith slightly, trying not to show he was scared like hell but was failing.
Keith, somewhat instinctively, reached out and touched Lance's hand reassuringly. Lance blushed and internally started to freak out, not knowing what to do. Keith's face turned red and withdrew his hand a bit so that their hands were just barely touching.
"I-I'm going to go make some popcorn, I'll be right back," Lance said, pulling the blankets off of him and standing up to go to the kitchen. He was really only trying to avoid the awkward moment and also the bloody scene displayed on the TV.
Keith was slightly disappointed when Lance left, the warmth leaving him along with Lance. He pulled the blankets closer around himself, putting his face on his knees and shivering slightly.
Lance came back with a bowl of popcorn big enough to last them the whole movie if they didn't get scared and spill it. He noticed Keith shivering and placed the warm popcorn bowl on his head then got back under the blanket and sat right up against Keith, taking the popcorn bowl off his head.
Keith giggled, grinning at Lance, taking a handful of popcorn and shoving it in his face.
Lance blushed at how cute Keith looked, and made sure not to say it this time, so he put a few pieces of popcorn in his mouth to stop himself.
Keith snuggled to Lance slightly, enjoying the warmth the tall boy emitted. Lance blushed slightly but went with it, wrapping his arm around Keith. Keith blushed a dark red, curling up to Lance's side and watching the movie, occasionally taking fistfuls of popcorn.
Lance decided to joke around with Keith so he took a few pieces of popcorn then threw them in his face. Keith scrunched up his nose and caught one in his mouth, giving Lance a triumphant grin.
Screaming erupted from the TV and Lance jumped, clinging to Keith tighter than he meant to. Keith made a strangled sound as he was squeezed. He giggled slightly and looked up at Lance. "Are you scared? Do you wanna hold my hand~?" He joked.
Lance blushed but chuckled. "Is that your way of covering up the fact that you're scared?" Lance said, putting his face only a few centimetres away from Keith's.Keith chuckled. "You wish, then you would be able to save your pride," He joked, smirking. "Oh shut up," Lance said, sticking a piece of popcorn into Keith's mouth and looking at the TV, blushing.
