Chapter 3: Finishing The Single

As Ariana and Mac arrived at the studio they were discussing how they were gonna set the song up so that Mac's rap lined up with Ariana's singing. They walked into the studio very excited and both were still blushing from the conversation in the car.
"You guys ready?" said one of the studio workers.
"Yeah" said Mac.

Mac walked into the studio and put his head set on.
The song began and Mac closed his eyes to listen carefully to how Ariana sang the song. One of the studio workers walked over to Ariana and said,
"What do you think of the rap?", Ariana thought to herself and realized something, that no matter how much her and Mac talked about the rap, she never truly heard any of the words.
"I don't know... i've never heard it?" She said.

The worker looked at her in a weird way.
"How do you know if it's gonna be good if you've never heard it?" He asked impatiently.
At that moment the music stopped. Mac walked out of the recording room.
"Is there a problem?" Mac asked protectively. The worker looked nervous.
"Umm... no not at all Mr. Miller." said the worker nearly sweating.
"Good so let's get this recorded and make it perfect!"
Mac said smiling in a fun way. Ariana looked away and giggled. She thought it was sweet that Mac stopped the song to make sure she was alright.

And again Mac went into the recording room and put is head set on. The music started Mac closed his eyes and prepared himself for the rap.

"What we gotta do right here is go back, back to the top."

Ariana looked at Mac. She wasn't expecting him to just speak in the beginning. She smiled and laughed at him as he did the same back to her. At that moment she went in with him and put her own head set on. She whispered to Mac in an excited way,
"I have some new ideas now!" Mac looked at her and smiled.

"Say, I'm thinking 'bout her every second, every hour
Do my singing in the shower
Picking petals off the flowers like
Do she love me, do she love me not? (love me not)
I ain't a player, I just crush a lot (crush a lot)"

As Mac rapped Ariana listened to the lyrics. Ariana kept wondering who he was talking about, and then she remembered the car ride to the studio. How Mac said that he likes her. Ariana began to blush and then she began to sing her part.

Want it all the time, need it everyday
On a scale of one to ten I'm at 100
Never get enough, I can't stay away"

You can get whatever you need from me

As Ariana was singing Mac also began to think to himself who Ariana was talking about. He thought about the car ride, and how Ariana kept blushing whenever he smiled. He kept listening to the lyrics and watched Ariana as she sang.

"So don't you worry, baby, you got me"

Mac began to blush because whenever Ariana sings, she closes her eyes. But in this case whenever she was singing she would be looking directly at Mac.

Ariana stopped singing and took a sip of her water.
She was anxious to hear what Mac was going to rap next. The music went on until Mac's part came up.

I hope you hit me on my celly when I sneak in your mind
You're a princess to the public, but a freak when it's time
Said your bed be feeling lonely, so you're sleeping in mine."

"You come and watch a movie with me,
American Beauty or Bruce Almighty that's groovy,
Just come and move closer to me, I got some feelings for you,
I'm not gonna get bored of, but baby you're an adventure
So let me come and explore you"

Mac smiled and began to dance around in a goofy way. Ariana began to laugh even though the song was still playing cause she knew that the next part of the song was already recorded. But as the song went on Ariana brought her new idea to life. She began to sing over the pre-recorded track... but harmonizing the original track. Mac looked at her in amazement. He kept thinking in his head about how amazing and strong her vocals were. But then Ariana did something even more amazing and so unexpected. She added whistle tones to the song! Mac was so surprised to here these whistle notes that when he heard them, he ran out of the studio to ask the worker how high she went. Also surprised to here her vocals the worker said,
"She went as high as an F6!!"

As the song ended Ariana took her off her head set and walked out of the recording room. Mac ran over to her in excitement.
"That was amazing!!!!!!" Mac said picking her up and twirling her around.
"Thanks Mac!!!" She said smiling.

After an hour making sure the song was perfect Ariana and Mac got in the car to drop Ariana off at her house. Mac was still so amazed at Ariana's vocals he asked,
"What made you go up and hit those high notes?"
Ariana waited to answer him trying to think of the right way to answer.
"Well I just thought about you and the way you smiled at me when you were rapping, it inspired me to try to hit higher notes." She said smiling. Mac stopped the car in front of Ariana's house. He began to blush so much that it was impossible not to notice. Smiling, Ariana got out of the car and turned around.
"Bye Mac, thanks for helping make the song perfect!" she said in a cute voice.
"No problem, see you tomorrow!" said Mac smiling.

Ariana turned around and walked into the house. She was so happy that she went up into her room right away and began to write more songs. She was so happy that the words poured onto the paper.
She called the new song Daydreamin'.
