The Return, or is it?

" Don't worry baby girl, I'll be back"

Those words kept replaying in my head over and over again, like a tape recorder. It hit me really hard that Nova's presence was no longer there. It could have been months, years or days that had passed by without me getting over the fact that I was alone. My legs had already been sore and numb from walking back and forth.

"Twa Twa Twa " I heard a loud sound similar to a gunshot. At this time I was ready for what was coming next. "Urghhh" another sound came from outside the door. It sounded like someone struggling to break down the door.

I was curious to know what was going on but I was too weak to even let out a sound. "Creeech" another sound came from the door as I saw what looked like a sharp metal go through the corner of it. I was still scared and being helpless didn't make it any easier. I just crumbled into the corner of the room.

"Bang" the door fell to the ground with a loud thud as four men walked in. I didn't recognize any of them. I stared blankly as my eyes almost popped out of their sockets from what I saw. I thought my mind was playing tricks when I saw Nova walk in.

Tears rolled down from my eyes as I watched him walk towards me in disbelief. I wanted to jump up and down but I was too weak. He came next to me and held me as tight as he could without letting me go. I was so happy to the point that I almost kissed him but I had to resist.

I couldn't believe that he had kept his promise.

"We need to get you out of here baby girl." " Dee! Dee! are you okay?" he asked as he touched my lower back, interrupting my thoughts. I didn't how to react, I couldn't make eye contact with him.  

At this point, I just wanted to be close to him. To be held like a baby, his chest against mine. I could even imagine us seated on a cozy couch,  sharing one blanket as we watched Titanic.

"Come on Dee,  please say something,  even if its just one word. please tell me you are okay."

My thoughts were quickly interrupted by him as I uttered faintly "I'm okay "

"We need to bring you somewhere safe and get you cleaned up." He said as he tried to lift me up. My legs were too weak to the point that I couldn't lift myself up. "I got you baby girl" He said as he swept me off my feet and carried me as I lay my head on his chest. I could hear his heart beat and this made me feel secure. 

As he walked outside, I saw two bodies laying down and I could see blood oozing from one of the man's head.  He walked passed them and headed towards a black car, which I assumed belonged to him. He gently sat me on the car's seat as he sat next to me and pulled me closer to his chest. The other three men walked to a different car that was behind us, as one of them walked into the car we were in as he got into the driver's seat.

"let's leave this hell gate," Nova said as the man quickly drove off.

" We will get you home safe baby, I pro-----" his words were cut short as we jerked up since the driver missed a road bump. Something fell on the ground and from my view it seemed like a card. "Don't worry about it babygirl." he said but it was too late since I had already reached my arm and grabbed it. "Nova Gonzales" the card read. I was sure I wasn't mistaken that I had seen the last name before. I handed the card to him but my mind was still not at peace since the majority of the car ride I kept finding myseft trying to recall where I had seen it.

It then hit me like a bolt of lightning that I  had seen that name before when I had borrowed a book from Cider. The words were written in a bold red color, "THIS BOOK BELONGS TO CIDER GONZALES."

Hey guys, I wasn't able to login on my account and once I requested a new password it was sent to someone else since I had made  a slight mistake to my email.. also i had given up on it since it wasn't working and now everything is finally resolved..
