The Precious Moment

Hi, it's Gen again! (I bet you didn't guess!) Next chapter is up!

I'm trying to upload this quickly so people will like me and read it and because my friend hates people who take a long time to update. 'Don't turn into one of those people'

Chapter 2

~Minhos POV~

I heard footsteps enter the kitchen once again and turned around guiltily, a piece of chicken hanging out of my mouth, it was pretty good.

'You ate all my chicken!' Onew pouted. He looked so upset, as if he was about to cry. I hung my head shamefully. We all knew that it was just a crime to take Onews chicken away from him. Onew glared at me, unmoving.

'I'm sorry Onew, I'll get you some more chicken later.' I promised. Onews expression brightened immediately.

'No way Hyung' Taemin broke in 'It's your birthday, you shouldnt be doing that' Onews bright, happy expression disappeared again.

'Yah Taemin, I can do what I want!' I said. I couldnt let Onew stay all depressed like that.

Taemin sighed,

'Okay then...' he said, before smiling

'Whos present are you opening first?!'

Jonghyun chucked a small squishy parcel at my head, I caught it swiftly with one hand before it could make contact with my face.

'Nice try' I laughed, lightly whacking him on the back of his head.

I turned back to look at the present in my hand. I slowly started opening the messily-wrapped gift. Pushing the paper away, I revealed a red t-shirt, how imaginative. Didn't he give me a t-shirt last year? Oh well, it looks kinda cool, maybe I'll actually wear this one. Most of the time, alk Jonghyun gives me is crap.

I smiled gratefully and Jonghyun seemed to appreciate that.

Next, Onew gave me his gift, it was enclosed in a small envelope. Even though it was just an envelope, he seemed to find a way to mess that up too. I smirked before reaching in the ripped envelope and pulling the contents out, I wondered what it was. It felt like a slip of paper. I turned it over

'A voucher for a chicken restaurant?!'

Onew grinned.

'Don't think that I'm gonna take you with me when I use it' I said smiling evilly.

'Yah Hyung!' Taemin turned to Onew

'It's Minho's Birthday, not yours!'

Onew hung his head and then brightened up.

'I thought that we could all go together' He smiled.

I sighed. Of course. The least I'd expect from Onew. I rolled my eyes and laughed at his blatancy. He seemed to take this as a positive response and his eyes lit up.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Taemin jumped up.

'I'll get it' he called before running towards the door. In his haste to get there, he slipped over. I ran forward and caught him in my arms before he could hit the ground. He had his eyes squeezed shut. He slowly opened them and stared up at me. The instant our eyes connected, i felt something well up inside of me and my heartbeat quickened. I stared into his worried, brown eyes and smiled. Another knock on the door interrupted the precious moment and I set Taemin back on his feet and ruffled his hair. 'Be careful' I smiled. Taemin grinned before running to the door. I remembered the special connection we shared in that beautiful moment.

Maybe he cares for me too?

~Taemins POV~

I heard a knock on the door. It must be Key-Hyung, I realised. I jumped up.

'I'll get it!' I called before rushing to the door. I felt my feet slip underneath me and suddenly I was falling. Time seemed to go in slow-motion from there. I shut my eyes tightly, bracing for impact. It didnt come. I felt strong arms grab me and I slowly opened one eye, then the other. Minhos warm brown eyes were staring into my own. I felt some strange connection as our eyes connected. I could see his concern for me. Maybe he really cared for me...

A sudden knock on the door broke the connection and Minho put me back on my feet.

'Be careful' he said, ruffling my hair. I smiled before running to the door. I remembered the concerned look in Minhos eyes. Maybe he cares for me too?
