Kim POV
I'm on my way to Lin's house to just relax cause my brother and mom are still upset for treating them like "slaves" as they quote, so I'm at her house to annoy her cause I have no other thing to do
Plus my date with nick is in two days
Ring
I stand in front of her door and wait
"Coming in," she yells
Just like that, what if I was a thief would she just let me in
With that I walk in
"Umm.....,what are you doing," I look around her house and at her
"Cooking, duh," she says making that face
"Cooking, huh or trying to," I mumble to myself
"I heard that," she says approaching me
"Oops," I fake laugh
She's in an apron, hair tied up in a bun
With cat slippers
"So what's all this," I ask
"Well," rubbing her hands together
"I wanted to try something new," she added
"Oh really," I say raising an eyebrow
Hope she doesn't kill herself
I think to myself
"Don't worry I won't kill myself yet, besides you'll be with me," she says
Did she read my mind
Lin grins
Oh no I'll be with her, that means I'll die too
"Ugh," I moan
"Do I really have to do this," I say
"Yes, now come with me," she says and drags me to the kitchen
"So, lin what is this," I say looking at the rock I think is macaroni
"Its macaroni," she says
"This, I grab a spoon and try to scoop out a piece
and the whole pot comes with it, "is not Macaroni," I glance at her
"OK ok, teach me," she says
"I was hoping you'd ask," I say
"OK let's start," she says
"First cook me something, something simple like an egg or a sandwich or at least toast," I say thinking
She can't mess that up, could she
We decided to go with an egg
After like five minutes of waiting
What is taking her so long its just an egg it takes like one minute to cook
"Ready," she says
I look at the egg
Its burnt to a crisp
The yolk is runny
And I can still see the salt sprinkled at the last minute
I mentally gag
I can't believe she messed it up
"So how is it," she asks
"Sorry it tastes horrible," I say standing up
"Here let's start over," I say to Lin
"Grab, a bowl" I instruct
"OK?," she says
"Grab the egg and crack it on the sink, then pour it in the bowl," I add
"Oookayyy," she says and slowly does it
"Grab a pinch of salt, a pinch not a cup ok,"
"Ok," she say
"See you're doing good," I look at Lin
"Yay, I'm actually cooking," she says excited
"Now mix it up and pour it on the pan," I say
"Oh and don't forget to at oil," I add
"Great, now flip," I say after I see the egg is ready to flip
"Huh," she says confused
"Flip, as in flip the egg," I say
"Huh,"she says again
"Just turn it over," I say much more slowly
"OK," she says
After two minutes
"Hmm....," i can't believe I made something she says taking a bite from the egg she made
"OK now, let's try pancakes," I say getting up
"Whoa whoa, I barely made it through the eggs," Lin says eating the last bit of the cooked egg
I chuckle to myself
What a silly child
"Let's just order pizza," Lin says
"Can't say no to that," I grin
"Plus I have another date," I shrug
"Oooo something I'm actually good at," Lin smiles
I laugh
