The big bad wolf inside of the boy was just a little bomb trying to vent out. So he remained in silence, parting space and flipped the cooked fish onto a flat rock as a substitute for a dish. One of himself and one for Vell. Not cutting it up for him or anything fancy, He picked up the fish and bit into it. If you've met this man sooner you'd think he's a mute. Vell wasn't impressed by the awkward silence. He decided to eat as well, two fish max for the both of them.

After the meal, Vell stood up and held his hurt side. "I'm going back. Damien is probably worried sick about me. I'll remember your kindness but forget about me ever falling for you. Even if I did before, the past is gone. Stop living in it. Don't be such a fool." He walked his injured body through the midnight forest. Dark as he couldn't see much. Vlad took his time getting dressed and obviously caught up to Vell with no problem. And yes, the fire was put out properly.
