Oh look! It's our first Tv show "discussion". So, today I was watching America's Got Talent - I know at least one person reading this also watches it! - and it made me realize exactly how much guts it takes to actually walk up on that stage and perform. Not only to perform but to perform great. It can be very heartbreaking to be told that you're the worst act all night and that you're not making it through to the next level. There was this one guy on the show who tried out with a roller skating dance routine. The judges thought he tried out with that with the intention of being funny so they let him pass. The man made it all the way to one of the final rounds and the entire time while everyone was laughing he thought he made it that far because he was actually great. He thought he was so great and had such good confidence when really he was a laughing stock who made it that far as a potential comedian. I feel sorry for the dude.
Personally? I could NEVER walk up on that stage if front of all of America to perform. I. Would. DIE.
I wouldn't want to turn into a laughing stock for something I'm legitimately trying my best on that I think I'm great at.
Would you be able to do it? If you did, what would you do?
Honestly, these people have such great talents.
This show also made me think on what I could do. In case you're wondering... it's a short list.
All I could come up with was the instrument I play, for band... and it's not that "unique". There are more people who can also play, and dancing. I took dance classes for a few years in a row when I was younger. If I teach myself a routine I could probably do it. Other than that, I can't sing.. I can't do magic, I can't do acrobatics. 😂
I'm so clumsy... I'll break my neck.
What do you think? If you think you have the confidence to go on stage in front of ALL of America, what would your act be? What's the reasoning behind that?
