The Meet

I left Illinois right in the beginning of August. I wanted to stay for my 15th birthday which was August 27, but I couldn't because I had to get to working on music. I had always dreamed of making music. I didn't have the best voice in the world but it was okay. My manager said that with a little bit of work I could probably get big.

Me and my mom got on the plane and she asked if I was worried. I said no, knowing that I was lying. I think she knew I was too.

We finally got there after a long plane ride and we decided to go find our house. We got to our house and it was beautiful, I loved it so much. It had so many rooms. I thought I would never leave, but sure enough I did. My mom wanted to go greet the new neighbors. I dreaded it because I was tired from all the traveling. We walked to a few houses, then we came across one certain house. There was a girl who was only a year older than me. Her name was Lia. We got to talking and we found out that both of us actually have a lot alike. I asked for her number and she gave it to me. We moved onto the other houses, found some grumpy old neighbors, and some really lazy ones. Then we came to the last house, which was actually right next to us because the neighborhood went on a circle. A blond haired boy answered he door, with a girl standing next to him.

Me and my mom introduced ourselves and told them we were new neighbors and we just came to say hi. The boy called "boys!" and down came 4 more boys. I was not very happy, they all looked young so I thought "great I'm not getting any sleep here". One of the boys who had super curly hair said "Hey we're in a band by the way."

Great, just what I need next door a band of 5 young boys that are going to keep me up all night.

I said that was cool and I told them we had to go home and unpack. They all said okay bye and then we walked away. I knocked on the door again. They answered and I said "What's your bands name?" They said Why Don't We and I said okay I'll check it out. I only wanted to check it out to see if they were just some crazy boys next door.

When I looked up Why Don't We I realized they were really good and funny. And very cute. I went downstairs and put YouTube on the TV and started watching Why Don't We funny moments.

There was a knock at the door. My mom answered it. There was a voice that asked "Is your daughter home?" I quickly turned around and freaked out. It was the boys. I tried to turn off the TV but with my luck it wouldn't work. My mom told them to come in. They saw the TV and the blonde haired boy said "Stalk much?". We all started laughing. I told them to sit down and I finally got the TV to turn off. I asked them for all their names. They went down in a row, Corbyn was the one with the blonde hair, Jack was the one with the curly hair, and there was Daniel, Zach, and Jonah. I only knew Corbyn and Jack because they were the only ones who talked to me at the time. I asked for their numbers, got them, and we made a group text. I changed their names to funny nicknames.

Corbyn- Blondie

Jack- Noodlehead

Daniel- Daniella

Zach- BlushyZach

Jonah-  Old Man Jonah (literally couldn't come up with anything someone suggested this just imagine it different if you don't like it i'm sorryyyyy)

We decided to play Truth or Dare., and I was first. Zach asked me truth or dare and I said dare. He said I dare you to show us your recent history on YouTube and Google. I showed them, so much of it had something to do with Why Don't We. I was blushing like Zach right now.

We played some more had some funny truths and funny dares, until my mom said she was making dinner. I asked what it was and she said mac n cheese. "YESSS!!" I said. I forgot the boys were here so I looked at them and they looked back at me. We all laughed at me being crazy. She said they could stay for dinner. They said they would love too and so they did.
