Omnia Causa Fiunt

As much as we had been through as far as we have come together. It was still nerve wracking facing Hartford society. In all honesty neither of us cared for this type of event but both grandmothers wanted it all done properly.

My dress was hanging ready for me to put on. My hair and makeup already done. I was just stalling for time.

Finn came and stood behind her taking her in his arms.

"You ok love?"

"Yeah. I will be once this is all over and we can go home."

"I know. Our first official heartford event and we can't even form a sub party." Finn laughed. "We need to leave in 10 minutes."

Rory took down her dress and pulled it on. Finn helped her with the zip. Once her shoes were in place they headed out the door.

They pulled up outside the venue and Finn got out. Flashes triggered from all directions and excited chatter of his reappearance could be heard. Finn turned to assist Rory out of the limo. Once stood soundly Finn put his arm around her waist. The cameras were working overtime. She was after all the woman of the hour and together they were a massive media draw.
They walked the carpet that had been laid stopping for photos every few steps.  Questions were being fired at them from all angles. Neither made comment.

Emily and Francine were hovering just inside waiting for them to arrive.
They knew by the flurry of media activity that they would walk through the doors any minute.
As they entered the two women greeted them warmly. They headed into a side room in order to sign the necessary papers.

Rory scanned the documents and smiled at the alterations that had been made at her insistence.
No longer did it read that she would be Heiress instead it was written that heirship would be a joint venture between both herself and Finn. Smiling she signed where indicated.
Rory held the pen out for Finn to sign and his confused questioning look spoke volumes.

"You need to sign too." Rory stated "iv had the papers amended to include both of us. You added me to the title deeds to everything at home, company included. We have been in partnership for three years. As we're taking on more I made sure it was together from the beginning."

"You are truly amazing." He leaned and kissed her taking the pen and signing.

It was all official. Rory and Finn were now in charge of three extremely large companies. They left the room and went to join the party.

Lorelai was sitting with kiera when the group of college friends arrived. They helped themselves to seats around the same table. Kiera immediatly slid from Lorelai's knee and stood beside Colin. Without thinking he picked her up and sat her on him.

All the worries Lorelai had been having melted away at that moment. The group paid her all the attention she wanted and some. They had only met her a couple of days ago but had adjusted and immediatly accepted the child of their friends.

Rory and Finn stood in position with Emily and Francine either side of them.

The announcements were made to reveal the heirs. There were shocked faces throughout the room. Followed quickly by people wanting to give congratulations and best wishes.

The night seemed endless. Drinks flowed freely and dancing had began. Finn had managed to escape and speak to their friends. Lorelai had already left to take kiera back to bed. Rory approached the table. Finn immediatly stood.

"Would you like to escape to the dance floor Mrs Morgan?"

"With you. Anytime." She smiled

They lost themselves in the music unaware of the surroundings.

"This is the perfect end to the evening." Rory sighed contentedly

"It is indeed my beautiful wife."

"Tomorrow we will have a day of media madness minus any reporters of the HPG group. Logan has made sure they won't bother us."

"That's good."

"You ok Finn?"

"Of course love. Just pondering. Have we got too much to take care of now. I know it's not going to be easy."

"We have someone in place to take charge of gilmore insurance, and Colin will be trained by his farther to take over the reigns of Hayden-McCrey law. We just have to worry about the Morgan group."

"So it's all planned out."

"Yes. And what's not planned we tackle together head on. In omnia paratus."

"I can agree with that. I'm still struggling with it all. Start to finish has been quite the ride for us."

"A lot has happened."

"Omnia causa fiunt." Finn whispered.

Everything happens for a reason.
