Samara's P. O. V

11 years have passed by after Samar Dada's death..  We are now living in Detroit, USA..

"Please tell us more about Uncle Sammy, please please please mommy!" demanded a 10 year old Samar "Yes mommy yes yes.. Tell tell.." 5 year old Emily jumps up and down on the couch.

I started, "Your uncle Sammy was a very good person. He had a big big heart. You'd have loved him, if he were alive. He loved mommy more than anything in this world. He always took care of mommy like a lil baby. Even when mommy was all grown up. He was the bestest big brother." and I turned away from my kids to wipe away the tears that have now left my eyes. Emily shouted, "More uncle Sammy.. More uncle Sammy.. More more." I replied, "I'll tell you more about him later.. Once when you're a big girl. Okay? Now go play outside.." Emily jumped off the couch and said, "Okay. Yipeee!" and ran outside to play.
I looked at Samar and said, "You too go out and play with your sister."

But Samar instead came and sat next to me

But Samar instead came and sat next to me. "Mommy" Samar said grabing my hand. I looked and him and replied, "Yes honey, what is it? Is everything okay?" Samar replied, "Yes mom, but can I ask you something?" I replied, "Ofcourse honey, you can ask me anything." Samar asked, "Why name me after uncle Sammy? Do I look like him?" I replied, "Your daddy wanted to name you after him. And yes baby you've got your uncle's eyes and smile."

Samar hugged me tight just like dada used to and said, "Mommy, you miss him a lot don't you? I can tell. He must've loved you just like I love Emily. But you know what Mommy.. I love you soo much." I replied, "I love you too baby.. Now go play with you sister."

" Samar and Emily remind me of dada and my childhood. Our age gap was more though. But Samar looks at Emily just like dada used to look at me. Makes me so happy to see another Samar and Samara growing up in my house. I hope they keep loving and looking out for one another even when they are all grown up... Just like Samar dada always looked out for me. I still can't believe that I've lost you dada.. And it's been 11 years. I miss you a lot dada. I hope you are happy and safe and at peace where ever you are. Your lil tomato still loves you dada." I look up at the sky a blow a kiss into the air. And sit in the lawn chair looking at the kids play with happiness and start writing on my journal as I remember my dada with a wide smile on my face.
