1 year later

it was the first day of sophomore year and i knew the gang would be back together and act as though freshman year never happened.

i walked into school with my hair straighten and sun glasses resting on my head. my combat boot laces dragged along the floor and my high waisted jeans complimented my leather jacket. with a plan white tee underneath.

(see what i did there? ya know like HEY THERE DELILAH WHATS IT LIKE IN NEW YORK CITY IM A THOUSAND MILES AWAY BUT GURRLLL TONIGJT YOU LOOK SO PRETTY YES YOU DO TIME SQUARE CANT SHINE AS BRIGHT AS YOU I SWEAR ITS TRUEEE... okay i'll go home)

I was heading to my locker when i noticed the group of friends i'd never thought i'd see all gathered around our old lockers like they used to do. I suddenly felt like just another face in the crowd when i went to my locker, they all just looked at me and went back to conversation. i thought they would at least say hi, i didn't expect a welcome home party but i did expect more then lucas and riley avoiding eye contact. Farkle gave me a faint smile before walking away with everyone else to their next class.

I knew it would never be the same as soon as i walked out that door i knew. Part of me still was with them but the other part of me was alone in the hallway.

A few hours later (insert sponge-bob transition here)

i was walking out of the halls towards the courtyard for lunch with my small designer black backpack slinged (if it wasn't a word then it's a word now) over one shoulder and my earbuds in listening to Harry Styles' song kiwi (that's my shit... okay bye)

"She worked her way through a cheap pack of cigarettes

Hard liquor mixed with a bit of intellect

And all the boys, they were saying they were into it

Such a pretty face, on a pretty neck"

i'm trash and don't update like ever nice to meet you and imma go okay bye.
