I woke up the next morning to three notifications. Two texts from my best friend Sara and a snap chat from Kris. All the thoughts and memories from yesterday came rushing back.I still couldn't believe that Noah is best friends with Kris and that he actually considers me a friend as well.
I open the texts from Sara first. One of them was from yesterday wishing me a happy birthday. Whoops must have missed that. The next one was asking me to meet up today. I quickly reply with 'thank you' and asked her when and where she wants to meet. I couldn't wait to tell her about yesterday.
I then check what Kris has sent me. I open snapchat and click on what he sent me. It's a selfie of him in a car with the dog filter and he's wearing a red check shirt. His head is resting on his fist and he's pouting (a/n the pic of him that's in characters). There's a caption saying good morning Paige🌞.
Aww that's so cute
Yes brain now shut upI took a quick selfie with the leopard ears and the mask filter (if that makes any sense) putting the caption morning Kris 🌞👋🏻 and pressing send.
I took a quick shower and threw some clothes on before going on a hunt for some breakfast. I love food so much I think it's actually starting to become a problem.
Searching through all the cupboards I settled on a bowl of cereal. I was pouring the milk in when mum waltzed in with a smug smile on her face looking slightly suspicious. "What have you done?" I ask knowing that there's got to be some reason for that look. "Good morning to you too. And I haven't done anything" she said with her hands on her heart in a joking way. "Uhuh" I said not believing her. "I have however been talking to Noah" oh god I know where this is going "and he told me that you had a very long chat with a boy yesterday. Do tell" she said, the smug smile returning to her face. I let out an exasperated sigh. "Mum" I groaned not wanting this talking, already knowing where it would go. "Oh come on Paige at least tell me his name. Please" she pleaded "fine his name is Kris Kostov" " as in that guy from Eurovision that your obsessed with?" She questioned "I'm not obsessed with him!" I retorted, slightly embarrassed "but yes the guy from Eurovision that I like" I said adding emphasis to 'like'. " how did you meet him then?" She asked looking intrigued. I explained how Noah heard me playing beautiful mess and then Skyped Kris and how he left me with the laptop. "So how long did you guys talk for?" She asked when I had finished explaining. "About an hour" I said hanging my head as a slight blush had started to rise in my cheeks."awww you like him don't you" she practically squealed. I would expect that from Sara but not from my own mum. "No I don't" I protested "yes you do i can see that blush from a mile away" I swear mothers are not supposed to act like this. "Oh shut up mum" I said knowing I wasn't going to get anywhere with this. I walked back up to my room to escape from mum torturing with embarrassment.
Checking my phone, I notice that Sara had text me back whilst I was dying of embarrassment.
The park in half an hour
I need to talk to you
I wonder what she needs to talk to me about? She nearly never asks to talk to me if we have school the next day, unless its something really important. I hope it's nothing bad.
Ok see u there
I replyI put on my converse and a jumper shoving my phone and some money in my back pocket, just in case we decided to get lunch, and headed down the stairs. I shouted a quick bye to my mum and told her where I was going before I headed out the door, still wondering about what she needed to talk to me about. Hoping she's ok.
