I woke up the next morning to a rather unexpected sound. Kris and Noah were dancing around the kitchen, which just so happened to be below my room, singing at the top of there lungs. Well more like screeching. I slung on my dressing gown and pulled on my slippers before trudging downstairs to see what's got them so happy. "Jeez guys its 7 in the morning do you not know what a lie in is?" I teased. "Hey! Are we not allowed to have fun??!" Kris exclaimed in fake hurt holding his hand to his heart whilst dramatically gasping. I laughed and and gave my head a slight shake whilst trying to weave past the two prancing hooligans and make my way to my beloved kettle.

Breakfast was over and before we knew it we were piling into the car on our way to our next destination. "Whilst you're here Kris we thoughts you might like to go up a mountain, well a small one anyways" says mum. "Yes that'd be great thanks I love walking" "weirdo" me and Noah say at the same time. Fits of laughter soon followed as we saw kris's mouth hung open.......again.

A few minutes later and we were at the base of the walk. I knew we'd be coming here, its always been a favourite, especially mine. I've got so many good memories of this place even going back to when I was a small child. Hopefully today will be another one to add to the list. Another amazing megoes .

We clambered out of the car and headed down the path that lead to the mountain, dancing and twirling and messing about like kids again. These are the days I live for. The days when it doesn't matter what age you are because you can be any age you want. It doesn't matter who's there to see you because you don't care what people think because for once in a world pressuring you to be an adult you can be a kid again. Even if its just for a day.

We slowly made our way along the path, still being 5 years old, wandering past the river and up a cobblestone path. We splintered off and went up a little track which led to the top. Part way up there was a fence with a style and a little dog flap. Kris joked about going through instead of over the style so I told him "why not". "Urghhh my bums too big for this!" He exclaimed as he tried and failed to fit through. Of course we weren't going to help, this was too funny not to watch and take pictures off. He wriggled backwards and squeezed back out of the dog flap glaring at us both jokingly. "I remember going though there when I was a little girl" I started, looking at the small hole in the wall "me and my old friend used to go though there when we came here and pretended we were in wonderland when we came out the other side" I smiled softly remembering the memory of simpler times. Kris smiled at me and I saw something glint in his eyes when they looked into mine. A little spark crackled in my heart and a flush started to spread on my cheeks. "Come on guys lets go" I said clearing my throat and ducking my head as I marched past hoping neither of them noticed but a quick glance over my shoulder told me they did as a slight flush dotted kris's cheeks too.

We finally reached to top, looking out over the glorious views. "Wow. Just wow" said Kris in awe. I was too if I'm honest. You can never get over the stunning sights that make the this place amazing. The sun stretched over the towering mountains that filtered down to the lake which was glinting in the sunlight. The green all around seemed brighter than ever and dotted with hundreds of bright colours as all the flowers blossomed. The trees stood still but a few leaves would rustle every now and then as a slight breeze brushed past them. "It's beautiful isn't it" I said standing next to Kris as we both stared out over the mountains. "Yes. Yes it is" he said in return. I looked up at him to see him already looking down at me. The flush started to appear again but I looked back over the mountains once again hoping he didn't notice. Once again failing. The smirk playing on his face told me that. "Oh shut up" I mumble in his direction as I shove him slightly. This just made his smirk turn into a laugh as he regained his balance and came to stand back by my side. He let his hand swing down and his fingers brushed mine before intertwining themselves. Butterflies fluttering around in my stomach as he leaned down towards my ear. "I wasn't talking about the veiw being beautiful, there's something else that that is far more amazing in every way" he whispered before kissing my cheek and standing up again. This boy is going to be the death of me. But I can't wait to see where this goes next.
