His booming voice echoed allover the map, making a cold shiver go down her spine. "No one escapes the law!", he shouted. His voice was so manly. He had a distinct British accent. Also he looked like a god : Platinum blonde hair, dark tanned skin, light blue eyes and full lips.
Being so lost in her thoughts she didn't notice Buck coming around a corner, trying to outflank her. She was looking around, searching for the attacker. Suddenly the attack stopped. She saw him standing over Buck's limp body, covered in blood. Shocked she eyed him from the bottom to the top. "Are you hurt badly?", she asked him. He ignored her, turning away. Before he could step away she stopped him by saying : "Lex... thank you for rescuing me...", over his shoulder he slightly glanced at her, nodding his head and then leaving.
She kept starring after him for a while but then turned around and went into the opposite direction. Since she was a flanker too, she tried her best to prove Lex wrong about what he now thought of her skills. Lex was Liv's teacher and since she screwed up this round and wasn't concentrating on what she was doing he seemed to be pretty angry.
At some distance she saw Cassie. Quickly Liv loaded her magnums, but put them back into her pockets. She grabbed two of her shurikens, one in each hand, ready to throw them at Cassie and flank her out. But just in that second, when Lenny was about to throw the "Defeat" - screen popped up above her head.
She hissed angrily and disappointed. A sudden pain in her shoulder made her groan. The shot Buck fired at her hurt so badly, that she thought she wouldn't make it. Luckily Seris was around and healed her. The scars would stay, but this wasn't much of a problem. Liv took her guns and left the map.
She slowly stepped into the lobby. Her head was bent, glanzing down to the floor. She felt Lexes burning gaze on her neck. Quickly she tried to get away, out of the lobby, out of the trouble. But Lex would't be him if he wouldn't have caught her before she got out.
Liv shrieked when a strong hand grabbed her shoulder. She breathed out and started to tremble. She didn't want to hear what he was about to say. Quickly she tried to apologize but before she could even open her mouth Lex interrupted her. "What did you think by just standing around, gazing holes into the air and not concentrating on what you are told to do?", he was just getting started. "You know, I'm really disappointed in you. I didn't expect much but now I don't know if you really stand any chance here. If you keep acting like that you will never make it and become a champion.", a tear streamed down her cheek. "I-I-I'm so s-sorry...", she trembled terribly. He strictly gazed down at her. She couldn't help but when she looked up at him anger spread out in her chest, blocking her throat. She swallowed and said :"I'm not here voluntarily. I was brought here. I never had any training before. This is my second month here. How can you expect me to be perfect?", it felt great to say she thought. But Lex got much angrier. "You are being disrespectful. Things are going to change from now on. I expect you to be in the hall in exactly twenty minutes. If you are not there in time, you will regret it.", before she could say something he turned on his heels and left.
"Bollocks!", Liv grumbled angrily. The pressure made her cry. She sat down at the edge of the lobby and cried for a good ten minutes. Pulling herself together she got up. She washed her face, put on training clothes and went to the hall.
