04: Patronus'
Zoey had Defence Against the Dark Arts as her next class and decided to run back to her dorm to quickly grab more parchment for the lesson as she knew there was theory work to be done in it.
Making her way up the moving staircase that then connected to the right corridor for the Gryffindor common room, Zoey was lost in her thoughts when someone called her name from behind.
"Zoey" a female voice called before the thumps of footsteps down the corridor were heard "Zoey! Slow down bitch!"
Upon turning round, the raven haired girl was met with the sight of her oldest friend running up to her
"Nat! Hey!" She greeted the girl
"Hey! That's all you have to say?!" Nat Johnson snapped at her friend causing Zoey to frown slightly
"What?"
"Are you together with Potter?" Nat asked
"Why are you so interested in my love life all of a sudden?" Zoey asked brushing off the question and continuing on to the common room
The Fat Lady sat in her picture and her eyes snapped onto the two oncoming girls, one of which was wearing Gryffindor robes, the other, Ravenclaw
Both the girls' families were close and the two grew up together, thinking of each other as siblings since niether had any. When they both got sorted into different houses, Zoey in Gryffindor and Nat in Ravenclaw, it didn't alter their relationship. The two made sure to make more time specifically to catch up with each other due to not seeing each other as often as they would if in the same house.
"Uh, don't walk away from me young lady!" Nat walked quicker to match the fast pace of the Gryffindor
"I'm older than you" Zoey retaliated
"Don't mock me, Missy" Nat said narrowing her eyes "And stop avoiding the question"
"I don't know what you mean"
"Yes you do!"
Zoey rolled her eyes at her respective sister and finally reached the portrait hole with the Fat Lady guarding it
"Password"
"Unicorn blood"
The portrait swung open after the Fat Lady gave a scything look towards Nat for not being a Gryffindor
The two girls entered the common room and crossed to the stairs leading to the girls dormitories.
"My relationship status isn't important" Zoey concluded by herself as she riffled through her trunk to find blank pages
"Well apparently it is to everyone else since people have started to come up with theories about you two" the Ravenclaw said whilst flopping down on Marlene McKinnon's bed next to Zoey's
