06: Cuddles
The one thing Zoey didn't realise with the whole 'fake dating' James scenario was how much gossip got spread around about the Marauders and her included.
Sitting in the Library with Remus and Nat, Zoey could hear people whispering and eyes burning into her back as she tried to write her Potions essay. However, she wasn't getting very far.
"Don't people have their own lives to deal with?" The raven haired girl hissed under her breath causing the other two to share a glance
"Their lives are boring though" Nat shrugged still while giving her friend a cautious stare
"Well can they go look for gossip elsewhere?! I need to get this done and it's not happening because all I can hear about is theories about my love life" she snapped
The table went silent at the girl's outburst
"Arty, are you okay?" Remus asked tentatively
"Fine" she grumbled in response
The other two again shared a look, not believing a word from the girl for a second. Not saying anything the two continued to stare out their friend, who they could tell would say something when she needed to.
Zoey put down her quill with a sigh
"What's the big deal with James and I getting together anyway?!" She asked "It's not like we weren't close beforehand?"
"It was a little sudden" Nat pointed out
"Life is sudden" Zoey rolled her eyes "One minute you're awake, the next you're asleep. One minute you're single, the next you're in a relationship, so what?"
The other two didn't respond. A few minutes passed before Remus snorted
"Well, half of the school certainly believe you're together, the amount of people who claimed 'they called it' is ridiculous"
"People are stupid" Zoey chuckled
Her thoughts were interrupted however by a set of arms being wrapped around her shoulders, and a warm body being pressed against her back. Lips grazed her ear as a familiar voice was heard
"Alright, sunshine" he whispered
Zoey rolled her eyes at the nickname
"What are you doing in the library?! I thought you said, and I quote "if I ever step foot in the library I'll be suffocated by books and get tortured by a thousand souls"."
