Chapter 4- Steph?

Why did I let it out on Saturday? Why? Why had I been soo stupid? What was I thinking?? Now even Marissa knew. Not that I minded but still. My parents wouldn’t be proud. I had been such a chicken.

I yawned and turned to the other side of the bed. I’m acting like a proper drama queen. Even Steph wasn’t like this. StEph..Crazy..Stupid…Annoying Steph. Thinking of her made me feel like I had swallowed a wad of tissues. But it was actually my fault. I’m the stupid one. Why? Why? Why did I let her go??  

*Flash back*

I stood, staring at the principles door. Waiting…waiting for Steph. She’s taking a horribly long time. I’m still flaming from the news of parents and this wait doesn’t make things better.

Ok maybe I’m just getting angry at Steph because of the news I got of my parents. It obviously isn’t Stephs fault. But I needed somebody to take my anger out on.

I waited and waited. What is Steph doing in there? Ohh yh, she was talking to the principle, probably about how she’s turned into an emo. Well not that I cared.  She was just expressing her emotions. She’s strong, nothing like me.

I started twiddling my thumbs. All of a sudden the office door flew open. It was Steph. She was most likely annoyed because of having to take out her lip stud. But as I looked up she was there, crying. She had red eyes, runny nose, blotchy face, the whole package.

“Steph wh..”. She cut me off, pulling me close to her and sobbed in my shoulder. Through sobs she stuttered “they’re ta..taking me away”. 

At that moment I didn’t understand. It was only when she had gone that I realized. And that was when my whole world came crashing down.

*End of flash back*

I quickly shook my head. It’s in the past now. It can’t be changed.

Steph was in my head the whole day. I couldn’t concentrate in any lesson and the day was dragging by. I could hear the slow ticking off the clock. I just couldn’t stop thinking of Steph.

‘Ring’

The bell rang loudly indicating lunch time. I pulled myself out of the chair, along sigh emitting from my mouth. I’ve a long day ahead of me. I walked to the door heading towards the lunch hall.

 Shoulders slumped I walked forward..And then it all happened too fast. A bag caught my foot and I tripped, my head knocking into another. I felt dizzy as hell, and the world the world was spinning faster than usual. I could hear buzzing of voices, but I was too concussed to figure out who it was, let alone what they were trying to say. All of a sudden I lost my senses and everything went black.

I was aroused with a gentle shake of my shoulder.

“huh, what, uhh why am I here. What the hell happened?” I spoke a little too loud.

“Don’t worry dear, you just had a little faint”.

A little? I felt like a someone had smashed my head with a crowbar.

“Weve been told you do this often. I guess such a pretty boy like you comes with a price” she said giggling. I glanced up. There she was, in front of me. A plump and short an d short women with rosy cheeks and blond curls which had escaped her cap. She smiled at me, comfortingly.

I can’t have fainted. Ohh yess now I remember the fall, but nothing else. Not before, not after.

Just as I was drifting away into my own thoughts she broke in.

“Here dear, have some water, we don’t want you to get dehydrated now, do we?” She said pushing a plastic cup towards me. I was parched. I grabbed the cup, downing the lot in q second.

“Umm..nurse..who brought me n here?” I quickly broke out eagerly.

“The name’s Rosie love and it was a pretty girl, fair skin, black hair. She had beautiful blue eyes, just like the ocean” she said.

“Oh god,  get to the point” I muttered quietly. I don’t think she heard so she remained silent.

“Umm and the name was..” I trailed on.

“Ohh Wnter I think. Yes yes Winter Davies. Yes, that’s it. Girlfriend is she?” she replied smirking.

I stared at nurse..Rosie I mean. I was in utter shock. She gossiped on.

“a rather rude girl she is, but seemed to care  for you. A lot”

At this I couldn’t take it. I was in too much shock. I felt dazed and for the second time saw just black.

For the second time I was awakened. Had I fainted again? Ohh yh. It was from shock. Just thinking of Winter made my head feel dizzy.  I looked up to see Rosie.

“Ooh, dear you fainted again. I think I should keep quiet. I don’t want you to faint again” Rosie said smiling.

Hah she thinks I fainted cos of her talking. I chuckled slightly thinking of that. If she thought that let it be. I needed some time to think.

Just as began to ponder over matters the door flung open. Someone peeped in. I glanced up to meet blue eyes; oceanic blue eyes.  WHAT? STEPH????

Ok Wat did u fink? It was longer than usual so yh..Do u think zachs acts like a girl? And what bout winter? Why’d she helped him? Hah I’ll let you think…u’ll find out soon enough..wait wat do u think bout steph?
