Winter break officially ends today and I must go back to campus by night fall. My name is James Cartwright, I am the oldest child of Peter and Diana. On New Year's Eve, I turned twenty-two. My little sister Josie is nineteen, she chose to take a year off after graduation to travel the world. We live in the United States of America, more specifically, Washington State. I've lived in Washington my entire life, I know the ins and the outs of this state, while my parents have lived all over the world. My father was born in Ireland, and my Mother is from Scotland.

My little sis, is currently sight-seeing in England with our cousin Kat. She mentioned that they were planning to visit Ireland next, so our father gave her some suggestions.

I'm currently packing for my drive back to Washington State University, I'm a senior. I will be graduating this spring with a bachelors degree in marketing with an emphasis in management. My father owns his own home remodeling company,  which he plans to place in my capable hands once I graduate with a masters degree in business. I hope to accomplish the dreams my father set out for me and show him that I am more than capable;  however, I know that life sends you sudden and at some times immediate obstacles, so I will remain confident and take every opportunity.

I received my driver's license when I was sixteen years old, and I bought a car under my parents' insurance when I turned eighteen. Unfortunately, my car broke down about a week ago, and its been in the shop ever since. Thankfully,  my mother offered to drive me over to campus if we left after dinner.

She is one of five law professors on my campus, I'm registered in her fifth period Ethics course this semester so that should be interesting. My father is a volunteer firefighter at our local firehouse, he works late nights so he plans to stop by campus tomorrow afternoon with anything I might have left at the house by mistake.

As my mother and I head out, I get a call from my roommate Nathaniel, we call him Nate for short or Michaels which is his last name. He mentioned that there was a leak in our bathroom, so we will be rooming with Joe across the hall until the pipes can be repaired. He told me that the only way Joe could make this work is if we pay for his drinks at the local bar for the next week, I laughed. We've known Joe since we were in elementary school together. Ever since high school he became super short on cash, because he would spend his money on new ventures. He's always been our outspoken, never holds anything back, best friend. So as we grew up we made this plan where if any of us were in a bind we would help each other out. Since Michaels' and I got kicked out of our room, Joe decided he'd help us, the most inexpensive way he thought possible.
